Yeah, RS does not have the best hip-hop critics to begin with.

That's not a disgrace. Reviewing an album is not an easy job and it's much harder if you're writing one for a magazine like Rollingstone. They don't just review Hip Hop albums, they review all music. One also has to consider that they don't have the time to sit their and dissect the album and compare it to other albums in most cases. With All Eyez On Me, it's not like they new that the album would blow up to be the phenomenon that it is or that it would produce the classic songs that it did. They had to rate the album for what it was then. This was a double album and given the deadline of the review, there was a lot of music to be consumed. I'm quite sure if they re-reviewed the album now, it would get a higher score.

Get off that bullshit. 10 years from now nobody will be "cranking dat soulja boy" nor will they be singing the lyrics to Freaky Girl. Rolling Stone should close their doors permanently for this.

They're usually semi-accurate as far as ratings go I wold say but this is some bullshit. Yeah Pac wasn't the best rapper ever but really?! Gucci's sorry ass album was rated higher than his? FOH with that.

I also wanted to add that one album has absolutely nothing to do w/ the other. AEOM came out 14 years ago (next month) and Gucci's album just dropped a month ago. It's not like AEOM was a rubric for rating Gucci's album. Another thing to consider is that just b/c Rollingstone doesn't specialize in Hip Hop doesn't make them any less credible than magazines that do. It's a music magazine, and since Hip Hop is a form of music, they review Hip Hop albums.

Rolling Stone hasn't been credible since the '90s when it became a magazine focused on big named artists rather than all music.

Rolling Stone is mostly rock oriented magazine. I can't hate on them for having different taste though. Pac's album wasn't that great. "Midnight Marauders" got 2 stars instead, now that's a bitch.

I think All Eyez On Me is a classic Album but it's 2pac's only classic

But honestly outside the Internet no one will ever dare say Jay Z has any other classic apart from Reasonable Doubt but on the IC the hardcore Jigga warriors overate his pretty much below average catalouge of Album's but in the real world people will say how poor Album's like Volume 2, Volume 3, The Dynasty, Blueprint 2, KIngdom Come & Blueprint 3 were

So we gotta seperate reality from what hardcore fan's say on an online message board
