I think the best headline act Ive seen was A Tribe Called Quest.

Common, Nas/Damian, Big Boi, and Redman were also memorable. I think Jay Electronica was there one time but I had no idea who he was at the time so I missed his set smh

So Rock The bells 2012 in the westcoast?

I'm definitely leaning towards Westside!! NY was da sh*t but dat cab fare is REAL!!!

Don't you stay in the A?? Shit I was thinkin about goin to NY depending on my funds but my default spot is always the bay. LA is an option as well. If we in the same spot we might have to link up fam.

Jay Elec was there in 2008. I don't think he was there in 09. Still never got to see Tribe. Shit I would even be happy to get a solo Q-Tip set.

dam i been waiting all day on my email didn't realize it was 9pm pacific.

Last year was the 1st year time since 2008 that i didn't attend. They skipped DC show last year hopefully they come back

Most to the time at the DC stop they all on one stage. just acts coming back to back to back from noon til bout 11 pm.

The last time they did have 2 stages though. I stayed at the main stage to see the roots and common but my homie went over to the other stage to see wu and then slaughterhouse.

Me and my homies take a water bottle and fill it up with vodka

Lol they don't make you dump the bottle out?? They sell beer in there right?? Damn dun, if they don't go to DC you better make that NYC trip. They used to hit way more places but I guess they were only selling out in certain venues and I imagine they have to pay all the artists a substantial amount.

They had like 4 stages in San Francisco last year. Sometimes you'll have two acts that you wanna see performing at the same time. SMH.

yea last year they slimmed it down to 4 locations only when they usually hit about 5/6.

They don't make us pour water out but for some reason they make you take your top off. They let you bring in water only. one time we brought in some chicken and they let us They do sell beers and drinks on the inside though.

Dc venue always looked pretty packed though. Hopefully they back.

i do get tired of seeing wu though hopefully they got some fresh artists

Last year Wu had their whole own separate stage with Masta Killa, GZA, Rae & Ghost, etc... all doing separate performances.. at least at the SF show. So you should be good.

I know they used to hit Chicago and a couple Canadian spots. Florida, Atlanta, Detroit, Denver, etc.. but I doubt they'll be hitting all those spots. I know LA, SF, NYC are always a lock.

The best show I've seen so far was The Roots in 2009. Wouldn't mind them coming back but I agree on having fresh acts. I feel like Cypress Hill has been doing it every year too like Wu. I wanna see Scarface but I doubt it'll happen this year.

i would like to see Face and Cypress Hill Cypress must only do the west coast shows b/c I've never seen them

We definitely gotta link up. I'm N Durham-NC all day pimpin!! Gotta few peeps N da A though. I saw someone said earlier they carry vodka N dat piece, man I was hesistant on drinking last yr on da acct of da heat & da fact dat da jawn goes on sun up till sun down!! Best believe I had my Bob Marl though!!!

I've been on the verge of going to this two years in a row... and have missed out both times due to some bullshit. History will not be repeated this year. I know I'm going. Real excited to see who they unveil.

Let's see G Rap, Dogg Pound, CNN, The Lox, De La Soul, LL Cool J, Spice One, etc..

I would LOVE to see Goodie Mob.

What about Jungle and Nas

I've seen Nas perform 3 times. He'll be too busy promoting Life Is Good this summer to do Rock the Bells. Plus he doesn't usually headline RTB back to back... maybe next year.

I seen the Mob when they kicked off there reunion tour down here. Classic shit

That's not the lineup for Rock the Bells. Guerilla Union does a separate show just for Paid Dues every spring. But they do have similar artists.

Mac Miller is wack and will never headline a main rock the bells stage. Maybe high up on Paid Dues this year.

Yeah I peeped that .... Cos aint no damn way his Wack ass should be headlining nobodies show bruh

Dope news I went in 2008 for my B-Day. It was only 1 stage and I saw most of the show in the middle of the pit. I only missed B.O.B (no interest at the time) and Pharcyde when I went to meet ATCQ.
