Nas sold out, Lupe did too. It was more or less like they were "forced" to but they did.

Scarface is a great example. Killer Mike is another one.

Let me be clear: you can have some commercial songs from time to time, but not be a sell out. So Nas and Lupe, while they both had their moments where they made commercial music, by and large, they went back to their roots eventually. Unlike say a Lil Wayne. I hope that makes sense

Everybody is pretty much asked to do things they don't want to, in that respect I understand why Nas & Lupe made the moves they did. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices. The very next LP was traditional for both of them so I suppose your right.

B.G. never sold out, my nigga Gizzle stayed true....too true in fact.
