We need to stop believing Statistics presented by people who are paid to uphold white supremacy.
These crime stats are rooted in lies, stereotypes and racists propaganda. They can make these numbers look however they want. But the MOST obvious is, Blacks are stopped, harassed, arrested, charged and convicted at rates higher then any other ethic group. So, what would immediately lower these statics are our racists white supremacists local and federal govts. letting us off and giving us seconds chances at the same rate they do other ethnic groups our society feels are less threatening and worthy of equal justice.
Also, what this moron didn't mention is, the police departments across the country ethnic make up doesn't match the predominately Black communities they are policing. There is no police dept in the entire US where a predominately white community have a predominately Black police force.
Another issue I have is, who the fuck made violence the most despicable crime in society? Obviously the police feel strongly that violence is, needed. But I guess only they have the RIGHT to act violently when they feel threatened or hell whenever they feel like it. You would think the police would understand 100% that when a person feels threatened their instincts might be to defend themselves. Or when they are wronged they may seek retribution by meting out violence. It appears to me our MOST violent gang of civil servants are the biggest band of hypocrites in the country. Funny, you never hear about people in the hood having this type of resentment and reactions to Firefighters who are first responders and are always on the scene well before police show up.
What about rape, pedophilia, drug dealing, mass murder, theft, and other crimes in which their numbers say other ethnic groups lead? Shouldn't we be equally outraged at these crimes as well? These devils are specifically and purposely pulling stats to justify their savage, terrorists actions toward Blacks.
We should reject all Stats that aren't collected by credible Blacks or multicultural research groups run by credible people of color.
This lying piece of poo is out of control. Blacks don't need to do anything but what we have been doing since being brought and sold in this country and that is fight for our right to live and breathe according to how we see fit to do so and not by anyone else sick and twisted standards. If, it were up to other ethnic groups we'd all be slaves, servants, in jail or killed off entirely. I reject the idea that this is a two sided fight. Black against white. We have done ABSOLUTELY nothing to whites to be treated they way that we are by them and the system. This isn't a fight. This is a WHITE racist local, federal govt. and the people who support their policies BULLYING Blacks.
ThaNubianGod;9175531 said:It's a paradox. People want cops to represent the community, but when you do that, they call the cop a coon.
On any given day, in any police department in the nation, 15% of officers will do the right thing no matter what is happening. Fifteen percent of officers will abuse their authority at every opportunity. The remaining 70% could go either way depending on whom they are working with.
That's a theory from my friend K.L. Williams, who has trained thousands of officers around the country in use of force. Based on what I experienced as a black man serving in the St. Louis Police Department for 5 years, I agree with him. I worked with men and women who became cops for all the right reasons — they really wanted to help make their communities better. And I worked with people like the president of my police academy class, who sent out an email after President Obama won the 2008 election that included the statement, "I can't believe I live in a country full of n***** lovers!!" He patrolled the streets in St. Louis in a number of black communities with the authority to act under the color of law.
That remaining 70% of officers are highly susceptible to the culture in a given department. In the absence of any real effort to challenge department cultures, they become part of the problem. If their command ranks are racist or allow institutional racism to persist, or if a number of officers in their department are racist, they may end up doing terrible things. It is not only white officers who abuse their authority. The effect of institutional racism is such that no matter what color the officer abusing the citizen is, in the vast majority of those cases of abuse that citizen will be black or brown. That is what is allowed.
And no matter what an officer has done to a black person, that officer can always cover himself in the running narrative of heroism, risk, and sacrifice that is available to a uniformed police officer by virtue of simply reporting for duty. Cleveland police officer Michael Brelo was acquitted of all charges against him in the shooting deaths of Timothy Russell and Malissa Williams, both black and unarmed. 13 Cleveland police officers fired 137 shots at them. Brelo, having reloaded at some point during the shooting, fired 49 of the 137 shots. He took his final 15 shots at them after all the other officers stopped firing (122 shots at that point) and, 'fearing for his life,' he jumped onto the hood of the car and shot 15 times through the windshield.
Not only was this excessive, it was tactically asinine if Brelo believed they were armed and firing. But they weren't armed, and they weren't firing. Judge John O'Donnell acquitted Brelo under the rationale that because he couldn't determine which shots actually killed Russell and Williams, no one is guilty. Let's be clear: this is part of what the Department of Justice means when it describes a 'pattern of unconstitutional policing and excessive force.'
A Gallup poll from 2014 asked Americans to rate the honesty and ethical standards of people in various fields: police officers ranked in the top five, just above members of the clergy. The profession — the endeavor — is noble. But this myth about the general goodness of cops obscures the truth of what needs to be done to fix the system. It makes it look like all we need to do is hire good people, rather than fix the entire system. Institutional racism runs throughout our criminal justice system. Its presence in police culture, though often flatly denied by the many police apologists that appear in the media now, has been central to the breakdown in police-community relationships for decades in spite of good people doing police work.

Therefore, he has to deal with all the good and bad that comes with that profession.
As far as his complaints about the no-snitching policy in the community......as others have said before......it's kind of hypocritical because the "good cops" will see other cops doing wrong and turn a blind eye to it.
So, maybe he should focus more of his attention on the no-snitching policy of his fellow officers since their silence is what's enabling the abusive officers' behavior.
Which, in turn, is partly why the community is so unwilling to cooperate with the police to begin with.

Complaint: Police always targeting us, they always messing with the black man.
Fact: A city where the majority of citizens are black (Baltimore for example) …will ALWAYS have a higher rate of black people getting arrested, it will ALWAYS have a higher rate of blacks getting stopped, and will ALWAYS have a higher rate of blacks getting killed, and the reason why is because a city with those characteristics will ALWAYS have a higher rate of blacks committing crime. The statistics will follow the same trend for Asians if you go to China, for Hispanics if you go to Puerto Rico, for whites if you go to Russia, and the list goes on. It’s called Demographics
This may be true, but the higher arrest rate for blacks isn't just true in black cities like Baltimore. Take NYC for instance. It's nowhere near mostly black, yet blacks get stopped at 4 or 5 times the rate that whites do. You see varying degrees of that across the country. The fact is this isn't China or Russia. This is the USA and blacks make up less than 13% of the population, so the argument he's making is ridiculous.
Complaint: More black people get arrested than white boys.
Fact: Black People commit a grossly disproportionate amount of crime. Data from the FBI shows that Nationwide, Blacks committed 5,173 homicides in 2014, whites committed 4,367. Chicago’s death toll is almost equal to that of both wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, combined. Chicago’s death toll from 2001–November, 26 2015 stands at 7,401. The combined total deaths during Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003-2015: 4,815) and Operation Enduring Freedom/Afghanistan (2001-2015: 3,506), total 8,321.
I'm not even sure what he's talking about here. No one complains about people getting arrested for crimes they legitimately commit. People complain about the harassment and treatment of blacks who have committed no crime or the over the top reaction in the cases where a crime is committed. I think he just misunderstood the complaint honestly. It's not that you arrest us more than white people. It's that a lot of those arrests come from profiling and we end up looking like bigger criminals than we actually are. The FBI stats also show that.
Complaint: Blacks are the only ones getting killed by police, or they are killed more.
Fact: As of July 2016, the breakdown of the number of US Citizens killed by Police this year is, 238 White people killed, 123 Black people killed, 79 Hispanics, 69 other/or unknown race.
I'm sure some people make that claim, but no one with any sense thinks that only blacks get killed by the cops. That said, twice as many white people were killed by cops as blacks, but there are like 5 times as many white people in this country. So there are a disproportionate number of black people killed by cops every year.
I realized that they refuse to believe that most cops acknowledge that there are Bad cops who should have never been given a badge & gun, who are chicken shit and will shoot a cockroach if it crawls at them too fast, who never worked in the hood and may be intimidated. That most cops dread the thought of having to shoot someone, and never see the turmoil and mental anguish that a cop goes through after having to kill someone to save his own life. Instead they believe that we are all blood thirsty killers, because the media says so, even though the numbers prove otherwise.
I think the guy is an idiot. It's not that I don't believe that cops have their side in this. It's not that I don't believe that some cops are treated unfairly. I believe both of those things are true to some degree, but here's the crux of the issue. He understands that blacks don't believe that most cops acknowledge that there are bad cops. He's right. He paints that as a problem with the media and a problem with us wanting to believe lies, and doesn't understand the very obvious reason for that. The "good" cops almost never speak out against the bad cops. Whenever some shit goes down, the cops almost always get out their shields and defend the cop in the incident no matter what the circumstances. How is the public supposed to see that and come out believing that most cops are against the "bad" cops. When Eric Garner was killed, instead of trying to engage the public and work to resolve the situation, the cops in NYC did stupid shit like threaten to stop doing their jobs, disrespect the mayor because of his stance on trying to reduce police brutality, and wear shirts mocking the dying words of Garner. How the fuck are we supposed to look at shit like that and be like "Oh yeah, most cops are good and they hate the bad cops." If that bullshit letter he wrote is the best he could do after research and soul searching, he's not smart enough to be a cop.
