SIGH... So, I'm the angry, paranoid Black man who's just looking to make a problem outta nothin'? In the trailer I saw apes taking over neighborhoods; I saw apes fighting with the police; I saw poor, innocent White people forced to defend themselves against this evil ape invasion....... C'mon, now.. Who do y'all think those apes represent?

It reminds me of when Glenn Beck, after watching a speech from Barack Obama, said he felt like he was on "The Planet Of The Apes".... Yep, Beck actually said that!

Oh, and I'd like to post pics of Daisy Marie, but I'd probably get banned.

So lemme get this straight, if I create something with one intention, and someone attaches their own meaning to it, my body of work itself is tainted?

And bruh, the apes represent apes. Fear of another species replacing us as top dog is an innate fear. It's why we wonder about alien invasions and life on other planets.

They found apes in Senegal that have created weapons, tools, and are trying to figure out if they have a language. Damn, nigga.

U do know that apes actually fight wars right? like one group will take out the other systematically and take over their land, bitches and etc... its been documented....

yes i do. he beat the asian kid with a 2x4 right.

he says he was young and dumb. and i only really liked him cuz he used to be so fine

yea not only that but at 15, he harassed a group of African American school children on a field trip by throwing rocks (causing injuries) and shouting racial epithets

IMO it looks wack and kinda nonsensical. No matter how smart, the apes are unarmed and guns would take them down quick as hell. And if they started to take over, The U.S. or if need be China would just bomb the city and kill the apes rather then let them spread and take over. It's not realistic to modern times.

Man, I was watching the trailer to that... And you can call me paranoid or whatever, but there were some serious racial undertones (or is it OVERTONES???) going on, if ya ask me. There were some not-so-subliminal messages going across the screen, if ya dig what I'm sayin'. And y'all know what I'm talkin' about... Don't play dumb. Anyway, I aint gonna go see it....

only because i predicted this movie being made when the remake w/ Mark Wahlberg came out 10 years ago...

This one is supposed to be the prequel to Charlton Hestons original. This one is to show us how they first started to evolve to become so human.

And to the poster that said the end of the original showed that the Apes ruled the world first thats false. The ending to the original was showing that the whole time the astronaut thought he was on another planet, when the whole time he was actually still on earth just 100's of yrs into the future.

o ok so it is set a 100 yrs before the original movie then so are they gonna detail the war that led to the apes taking over and blowing up the statue of liberty lol

When I first saw the preview for this movie I called it "Amastad 2" ...but I don't care...I don't think of myself as an Ape, and if white folks want to spend millions of dollars on a movie just to subliminally call me an ape, more power to them. That kinda racism does nothing but make me go "Really?" and then laugh....I really don't see this movie as being "negative"...besides non of us has seen it, but I kinda think the message they're giving off is that experimenting on these apes and treating them like shit because they're not like us, is pretty cocky...and that they're actually smarter then we think, and our cockiness could eventually get us killed...so if they are comparing Apes and Black folks...it's kinda not an insult...or "racism"...symbolism maybe?
