Diabetes. Led to Kidney Failure. In the documentary (its called Beats, Rhymes, and Life) Phife has been going into kidney failure and is on the doner list for a new kidney. His wife decides to become his doner because they are a match. He needed money for the Operation and thats why ATCQ reunited at the rock the bells tour. There was still drama though but they pushed through it. Documentary ended with them going their separate ways again but they were all still close. Just family butting heads.
