Damn this is awful. I was a kid when I first started watching Sportscenter and he was heading that shit every morning. I was shocked when I found out he had cancer and even more shocked at his physical state at the ESPYS. Truthfully ESPN been lowkey wack since he's been ill and in & out of the broadcast. RIP bro

Stu defined that generation for me.........was watching ESPN2 just now, looking at the special, shit left me in tears. this one really hurts.

A Legacy that's going to live on forever, when you watch Fox Sports 1, Sportscenter, NBA on TNT, First Take they all are biting Stuart Scott style, Scott came in the late 90s and brought the Urban Lingo, way of deciphering games from our perspective our way of talkin about sports to the mainstream, he brought the Barbershop to ESPN, ESPN viewership in Blacks sky rocket up, Sports caster across the States was biting his style, he's a trailblazer he deserves more credit, Rest In Power Brother

And one of his best moments off the air came when a producer suggested he change a reference on his NBA show from Omega Psi Phi, the fraternity of Michael Jordan and Shaquille O'Neal, to something more universal, like Animal House.

"I have friends who have no idea what that movie is about," Stuart told him. "That movie was made two decades ago, and black fraternities have been around since 1906."

stu the man for this

Speechless.... just speechless
