This thread went over most posters' heads. I wasn't saying Ross was the best rapper/ ceo. Nor was I saying Ross' MMG label/ imprint w/e had the most commercial success. The point was Ross allows his artists to put out material on a consistent basis and lets his artists put out the music they want. He's not forcing his artists to conform to a certain style. Wale does his emo-rap, Stalley raps about w/e offbrand sh*t he be rapping about etc. When rakim and Bus-a-bus were on Aftermath they complained about how Dre tried to compromise their artistic integrity by rapping about stuff they weren't about. When MOP was on G-Unit 50 tried to restyle 'em to make them more marketable.

Most rappers/ ceo's put their own interests first and will compromise their artists' integrity for record sales. Ross is an exception to that rule. I've seen posters mention Master P. Almost every artists complained about P finessing them and left that original No Limit roster FOH. He let them bite Pac's sh*t too BTW. Some mentioned Jay Z. I like Jay Z, but remember how he shut down Juelz, refusing to put his album out when he had momemtum around 12 years ago. There were rappers complaining about Jay Z.
