Ross' greatest gift is the ability to conjure a fully-formed Planet Boss, a refuge from the dwindling fortunes of gansta rap and the general economic downturn ... J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, No I.D., and Kanye West create beats that really do sound like they're fantastically out of reach to anyone but the financial elite, and you can hear every dollar that went into the record ... Lyrics that might look clumsy on paper turn into grand pronouncements through pure self-belief. And like a great action hero, Ross never lets cleverness get in the way of saying something memorable. Understandably, money is about the only tie Planet Boss has to reality, and nearly every interaction can be broken down as a financial transaction.

^^sums it up

Ross just kept putting out hot music. His verses are getting better and better as time goes by, and he has aligned himself with the right industry figures. His sales don't line up with the amount of work he put in this year, but I think it may just be Ross' destiny to dominate that middle lane of Gold selling artists. Plus the nigga is funny and has a personality on wax which is something alotta rappers today do not have.

ROSS 2010 MVP

yeah he's a funny but cool character. fif was funny and a real nigga but his ego and constant beefing thwarded off a true, loyal fanbase that could have sustained him to the point of being in the same lane was em, jay, kanye, etc. where his name would sell records.

ross has shown that regardless of the subject or style his music is solid and he found his niche with the justice league, yeezy, and no i.d. producing his shit.

Rozay is a rare breed of artist; he can look comfortable on a yacht with Diddy & some dime-pieces or comfortable in a gun-shack with some Zoes & goons in LiL Haiti.

He's a Soul-rapper that allows you to feel the emotion in his rhymes without trying to be extra-complex with his lyrics to impress the geeks.

I respect how he has worked with the GIANTS like Nas, Raekwon, Kool G. Rap & JayZ, dudes in the Hall of Fame.

Kanye West was left with no alternative but to put him on his biggest Soul record "Devil in a new Dress".

*Salutes the Boss*

He dropped a solid album but he ain´t killing sh*t though. He´s not that nice...

His album was hot because of the production and his features. He got outshined on every track though, but he surprised with his verse on Free Mason. He held his own on there, gotta give credit where it´s due. Rick Ross ain´t nice, got no quotables or memorable verses but he ain´t wack neither like alot of these southern rappers. He´s mediocre. Sometimes he spits a hot verse though like on Free Mason and that joint on that mixtape with G-Rap...

Have none of you seen him perform live? His live performance is as whack as it gets, the guy is just an awful artist with a terrible voice. I cant wait till dude falls off.
