Snoop was bigger in the early/mid 90s than Pac, if u talkin about mainstream/white fame. if u talkin bout hood fame...well snoop prob still was bigger. except on the east coast where maybe biggie and nas were. most of those albums Pac sold after his death...his only really big/crossover album when he was alive was AEOM...which came out about 6 months before his death. i take it that a lot of u dudes werent old enough when Pac was alive the way u talk about him...he didnt become iconic until he died. he was popular alive but he wasnt THEE rapper. he was just pac. also, NOBODY was scared of him. he talked shit but niggas wasnt like 'oh shit PAC gonna get at u!'....
snoop never sold more than pac while both of them were alive
snoop was more famous than pac for his music before 95 (actually snoop was more famous than pac in 93, 94... pac was a bigger artist in 1991, 1992 and also 1995- 1996), i will give you that, however pac was more famous for his movies and was more known than snoop. Working with janet Jackson on her first flick got him all the attention he needed as well as Juice....so pac was known more over the world than snoop and in every hood and in the mainstream....also fuckin Moddonna will get you attention too..worldwide
95 Pac over took snoop, 96 pac was way bigger than snoop, even when you watch interviews with pac and snoop together, it is easy to see who is the bigger artist.
pac did over 2 plat with MATW, which is a major success and was the no1 album in the country, beat big mainstream rockbands......so how is AEOM his crossover album? you sound like an idiot
and 5 plat in 3 months with AEOM, so saying he never sold until after his death is a waek argument....by 6 months i'm not sure how much it had sold, i guessing a few mill more....
ofcourse he didnt become iconic before he died, bob marley and jimmy hendrix, freddie mercury also died and became iconic... ...to be a icon you either have to live or die suddenly...that doesnt make elthon john a better artist that bob marley....same way jay aint a better artist than pac... if you dont have hit records , great music you will never become a icon...... he's a icon where as many other dead artists and dead rappers are not and thats testament to the music.
he would have lived to be a icon, just like snoop, cube, dre etc....that's not even debatable
not sure why ur saying nobody was scared of him, i never said people were scared of him
and my point remains pac achieved a lot for a 25 year old....he put in work and it paid off in death....
now if BIG had spent more time in the studio, more time workin he would have been just as known as pac....
