Nobody messed up meek buzz, he was overhyped and overrated anyway, bit ace hood and dreamchasers 2 and his album both worse than dreamchasers 1, plus bruh bullshitting by not putting juicy j on freak show

They pushed his album back

Hurricane Sandy

the album wasn't good

all hurt his sales

DC2 was piff and so was DC1 i'm eagerly awaiting DC3

imo meek first album was good .... he didnt get that Reasonable Doubt or Illmatic ... strickly because hes dont already dropped like 4 streets albums prior to signing with ross or ti ........ most artist first album is full of material they have been writing thier whole life ..... and imo altho meek wasnt in that space he still pulled off an hell of an album imo ......
nah that shit wasn't good. that was like a 2.5 outta 5 album, MAYBE a 3 if I'm being extremely, EXTREMELY generous. if he would've put the best tracks from DC1 and DC2 then it would've been a good album. his shit was just disappointing, and not even in the way that cole and drake's debuts were, where they had dropped a classic mixtape before and then the album was being compared to it, meek's would've been disappointing even if that was the only material he had ever released.

add dc 1 and 2 ... and his entire flamer series ... imo thats exactly what hurt his album .... and the crazy part he admitted it himself in a recent interview ... he actually said he gave away to many good album tracks on his mixtapes/street albums ...........

i think i appreciated it more because it was his first official album .... but ive been listening to meek since the first flamers mixtape .... to hear him drop some high quality ish like that and its something im familar with and watch it grow i have an appreciation for the tape ......... but on some real ish im like everyone else i probably play maybe 5 tracks off the album @ the most ...... but them joints imo are serious joints which is why i stilll say its a dope album .... dope album imo = 3 mics out of 5 ........ so we pretty much on the same page with it ...

MMG is done, the formula is just not cutting it anymore. Didn't Ross just sign Fat Trel if so I hope he makes an appearance?

they just gotta re-invent themselves so they dont get stale ... but the trap beats aint played out just yet ... and if they consider the first 2 editions a success then they wont have no problems saying the same about #3 ....

lmao! trap beats are way the fuck played out, especially the same sounding ones ross has been picking for years. at least if he went to someone like harry fraud for his trap beats then we'd get some heat.

this whole come together like the super friends every year thing is getting old too. Even labels that were way more successful and lasted longer than MMG (at this point) didn't have this many compilations.

lol i can dig it lol and i agree 100% personally ... but looking at the ish unbiasly trap beats arent played out just yet ... its too many heaters out there right now with that trap style and more on the way for me to honestly say that .... if i dont its just my opinion ... but as soon as i turn on the radio or just listen to what people are playing when they ride by my opinion gets contradicted by others LOL ...... but i feel ya mane and agree wit ya mane !!

and yes, mia shoulda been bigger, wouldnt be shocked if atlantic doesnt handle mmg like warner did

atlantic has more $$$$ than warner ... when you on the atlantic side you get the flagship treatment lol .... even the offices look nicer lol .... i used to intern for asylum which is the incubator label for atlantic/warner .... and our shit look like a fucked up public high school that lost all financing LOL .... warner was a step up ... but the day i got on atlantics floor .... i was like ok i see how they run things LOL ...... but you used to have be a platinum selling artist to get to atlantics floor .... i wonder why they putting MMG up there when they barely going gold ochea ???????????

ehh. not really anticipating this. MMG is losing heat. Hopefully htey can drop some good shit that doesn't sound like their usual formula for songs they've done over the last 3 years

Their era is soon going to go by and pass them. Their formula is predictable and lame.
