There's a difference between writing a song that someone else performs, which is something that happens in most music genres outside of rap, and ghostwriting, so I don't see how any comparison is apt.

Also, I don't buy what Ross is saying. If he was really ghostwriting and admitted it in a song, he would be losing lots of future business.

Not really as long as he doesn't reveal who he's writing for.

Most of those singers had writers. As for covers in rap it's been done look at Jarule and 2Pac with Pain. Rap is still very young but in another decade niggas will cover rap songs more.

No they won't. Considering the lack of talent, if they were to start covering songs, they would have did it by now.

It doesn't matter if YOU feel it's not authentic - that's an oxymoron. Frankly the kids coming into rap loving it now are not going to care, they know more than ever it's fake. They're still going to dance to it. Niggas will be like "in my day you had to write to be real", none of that shit matters cuz it's the business of entertainment that matters. Niggas know Ye, Drake and Cube didn't write some of their songs but still have them as favourites or in their top 5.
