Before everyone gets all emotional, there's a good chance this outlandish story is fake. I don't know many chain restaurants that can implement a dress code and 15 percent gratuity. This is not an upscale steak house or a privately owned restaurant. If this person's business is competing with Applebees and Chilis, we might be dealing with a Fridays or a Sizzler. This just sounds ridiculous. I did laugh at that "dumb bitch" comment though.

I believe the story to be true, if this is happening in a small town in lets say Virginia. Do you really think that it's going to hit the mass media outlet? Another thing to keep in mind, those who worked in a restaurant can agree with me. That you know as soon as a bunch of negros walk through that door every server on the floor is asking the host not to seat them in their section. And the number one reason is black people are very demanding and don't ever tip. So as usual we do it to our selves. I know a girl who would automatically add gratuity whenever black people sat in her section. The owner did have something to say about it, but she simply responded by telling him that the money that he makes don't depend on what people tip you. It's funny reading the comments on here acting as if we are civilize people as a whole, hell we got Buckhead shut down. Smh

Sorry but we bring this on our selves. I used to work in a Mexican restaurant where the staff barely spoke English. I was the only non Hispanic but for some reason most customers assumed I was Mexican.

Long story short, we got Black customers on average 1/2x's a month. Even then, they would act ignorant. Complain about the price of $1 bottle of water, eat 1/2 the food then complained it sucks and "get loud" if you didn't acquiesce to their demands.

I love being Black but it is things like this that disgust me about my own people.

even though I think the story is bullshit I'd be lying to myself if I said there aren't some ignorant blacks who purposely go out their way to give those in customer service a hard time. Being polite gets you a lot further. If I owned a restaurant I wouldn't think twice about implementing policies that deterred a certain segment of the population from eating there. I wouldn't specifically be doing it to exclude a group of ppl based on race but more so on socio-economic status. Raising prices and dress codes would both be options. If you know where your going has higher prices and requires a certain dress code wouldn't you be more likely to come in an establishment accordingly? There's nothing wrong with setting standards high because out of people's innate fear of embarrassment and making an ass out of themselves, they come correct.
