But Jordan was the one who put the most time? Talent is born man. Nas simply have more talent than Jay. Jordan spent secure 80% of his time playin basket while Len Bias maybe didn't.

They say hardwork beats talent but in this case talent beats hardwork.

Nas one of the greatest. Only flaw i ever seen Nas have was outside of music was Kelis

I'm as big a Nas fan as the next man, but lets not act like he's not the Cadillac Catera of beat selection bruh. The Streets Disciple album was fucking double album worth of warning label's on how not to choose beats.

To be honest, I love Jay Z. He has done a lot of hip-hop. When I talk shit about him, it's mostly for fun to keep this forum up and running. I felt that this forum was dying for a while. would I cry if Jay-Z died? Probably not. Would Icry if Nas died? Probably yes.

I think Nas is the best rapper ever and the most influenced.

I'll play along though...... As I said before. Lupe is respected, highly, and still so far beyond underrated it's silly. The nigga be doin too much cryin for me at times, and there's times when I think 1 too many of his patnas told him he was smart. As a rapper though, he's untouchable.

Multiple great, great albums.

Multiple Great Mixtapes

A+ Lyricist

Slept on flow

Quotables for years

Woke Subject Matter

Classic Verses

I wouldn't say Rap Genius changed the game but guess who it was created for.....

He does have multiple great albums:

F&L

The Cool

Tetsuo & Youth

Great but not great great.

It's mostly personal reasons. Are you taking up the facts and check the quality, I would say that Nas is the closest to Jordan. You're talking about numbers that case Eminem is the best? .. It is not. In hip-hop is all about quality, and Nas is the most gifted talent of all rappers.

He may be, but Jay is a more well rounded artist than Nas, not a more well rounded MC, but a more well rounded artist. Nas is like Tim Duncan, he's a player's player. Actually, Scarface is more like Tim Duncan. Maybe Nas is more like Jim Brown, but even Jim Brown was gettin that bread as soon as he retired. I guess the best comparison is Kareem, supremely talented, unstoppable on the court, but leaves it at that, could get more money if he'd like but is rooted in deeper causes than money, and is universally respected, and keeps a low profile.

Fabolous and 50 cent were the new Jay-zs.

Nas ain't the fucking Jordan of rap yall nation of Naslam niggas need to chill. He is more the Kareem or Bill Russel of rap and Jay is the Jordan of rap. And some of Nas beat choices lets be honest sucked. Yeah i said it niggas he fucking chose some terrible bum ass beats from time to time.

Lol @ "yea i said it" like if this is the 1st time that's ever been brought up about Nas

The only thing jay-z excels nas in is business acumen and record sales but artistically Jay isn't touching nas at all.

Nas from 93 to 97 or so >>>> political Nas. I don't personally think he has more than 2 classics, Illmatic and It Was Written. Nas isn't great musically and I've said numerous times that he needed a Diddy, Neptunes, Tim, Dre, Preemo etc nuff of his albums are difficult to listen to

Nas is a 1 of 1, he does everything at the highest level except make hit songs, Delivery 10, Subject Matter 10, Flow, 10 Fluid albums 10.

He actually does make hit songs he just doesn't get the push or even care to get pushed anymore, every album he has one or two that could of been a smash single

I didn't say that. I disagreed that he has songs on every album that could have been a smash hit said that he's not a hit maker, which he isn't.
