You can be as good as the best, but you can't be better...and I haven't even seen any MC as good as Nas.

There are a lot of GOATs and future hall of famers built in Nas' mold or were deeply influenced by him: Jay-Z, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Eminem, The Game, Lupe Fiasco, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Electronica, etc.

But it's true. There is only one Nas. And he's the greatest rapper of all time.

Niggas steady tryin to find the next Jordan like Lebron ain't writin one hell of a story. Ya'll better appreciate what's in front of ya'll, there's a lot of dope MCs out there.

I'll play along though...... As I said before. Lupe is respected, highly, and still so far beyond underrated it's silly. The nigga be doin too much cryin for me at times, and there's times when I think 1 too many of his patnas told him he was smart. As a rapper though, he's untouchable.

Multiple great, great albums.

Multiple Great Mixtapes

A+ Lyricist

Slept on flow

Quotables for years

Woke Subject Matter

Classic Verses

I wouldn't say Rap Genius changed the game but guess who it was created for.....

Based on what ?

1. His balance to make introspective records and party records (two way player)

2. His higher amount of plaques and awards and sales

3. The raised value his music and impact bought to hip hop (contracts went up in the NBA cause of Jordan)

4. His business and brand value is higher than nas (Jordan Brand is worth millions)

Kareem has more points than Jordan all time and Russel has more rings than Jordan. But Jay is the Jordan of the rap game. It's not even close he was to complete package as a rapper, live entertainer, and rap mogul impacting how hip hop is done.

Yeah, I partially agree with this.

Jay is the closest thing we have to Michael Jordan in rap commercially and artistically. He got stripes on both sides. Nas is more akin to Kareem Adbul Jabar where he has all the game artistically, and has done it all in the rap game but really hasn't capitalized on his talents like a magic would later on.

It's mostly personal reasons. Are you taking up the facts and check the quality, I would say that Nas is the closest to Jordan. You're talking about numbers that case Eminem is the best? .. It is not. In hip-hop is all about quality, and Nas is the most gifted talent of all rappers.

Jordan wasn't the most gifted ballplayer you don't get the comparison. Plus you could say lyrically Rakim is better than nas so he ain't the best lyricist of all time just on that alone. Look i own every nas album except life is good i am a nas fan. But he ain't the best rapper of all time. One of the best but not the best nor is he the Jordan of the game.

He may be, but Jay is a more well rounded artist than Nas, not a more well rounded MC, but a more well rounded artist. Nas is like Tim Duncan, he's a player's player. Actually, Scarface is more like Tim Duncan. Maybe Nas is more like Jim Brown, but even Jim Brown was gettin that bread as soon as he retired. I guess the best comparison is Kareem, supremely talented, unstoppable on the court, but leaves it at that, could get more money if he'd like but is rooted in deeper causes than money, and is universally respected, and keeps a low profile.

Get eminem the fuck outta here too bruh, he white and he still ain't Larry Bird. You gotta have classic albums to be in this conversation. He's dope, but his MVPs is based on the system, and color of his skin......... Dope on his own, and he'll get his off, but he gotta sit down when the all time greats walk in the room. I know exactly who he is, and it ain't kobe either.
