Our lives keep being treated like nothing. Pay a little more attention to the way this society we live in is working. You'll see some of the same patterns of those times back then.

Kids die young in high crime areas all the time, so parents might get insurance on them real early. I don't think this woman was living in an area equivalent to the magnolia projects, though.
