I felt the same way when the song first came out UNTIL I actually listened to the lyrics, suddenly it wasnt funny nor gay anymore.. If him and his parents played baseball together it would have been Play Baseball with my father again.. I hope yall get the meaning

i bet some white guy make a song about the same thing...it would be a hit and people wont think nothing about it.

Dance with your father could be like he had a good time with his dad and they danced to songs on the radio etc...not literally dancing with him on a slow song level. People think too much lol

Even as a kid I always just assumed he was gay and talking about a past boyfriend he missed but couldnt just come out and say "dance with my boyfriend again."

Either way good song but it would have been better suited for a woman.
