I mention success because thats what some MCs are in the game for. Not everyone is a battle rapper. Battling is a big part of the genre, but not the only part. And as much as I love slaughterhouse, i know they didnt do well sales wise. EM has signed alot of MCs, only a few found success.

I dont method man would have had the career he has if he could rap...as this is about rapping. I doubt an MC that grew up being the youngest in the WU just cant rap at all.

i agree, Death Is Certain is better than any SOLO album Budden has put out. Budden has 2 official solo albums to date, mind you. Im not about to argue about 2 of my favorite rappers. That shits lame.

For a Rapper that has so much dickriders for wack ass solo material I dont see all they hype Budden gets... to me hes the least talented/respected outta Slaughterhouse, aside from Wack MC's had the worst verse on every track they been on and as far as catalouge imo Royce and Joey shits on Budden (Crook aint drop anything yet). I do agree Budden is nicer than half or more than that Vibe list...and from a technical aspect of MC'ing hes nicer that Meth... but Meth to me makes better music his Contributions to on both Blackout Albums and Wu-Tang cements his legacy... Budden has no legacy.

And I stand by my point that Royce and Joell are nicer and made better albums and/ormixtapes than Joe.. IMO and Crooked is nicer too.

Bottom line my whole point is 1. Dude is overrated for weak ass work. 2. Budden is the weakest link in Slaughterhouse lyrically. 3. Without question dude is the least liked and respected outta the four in anyway you look at it (critics, peers, hiphop heads etc). and 4. Royce and Joell material shits on Joe.

As for Crooked I imo his verses on the Slaughterhouse LP were superior to Joe on damn near every song. Joe clearly came off as the weak link from the opening track Sound Off dude sounded outta place.

Rock City? Eh. I like Life, Boom, Its Tuesday, Rock City..but everything else is filler. I like about as many tracks on Rock City as i did joe budden's first album. they are equally as good to me.

Destroy & Rebuild sessions, i cant listen to that shit. Only song i listen to off that is Heartbeat. All that extra Neptunes shit can go. Street Hop only falls second to Death is Certain.

Joell's 2 mixtapes are cool but they both leave a lot to be desired. To me, Joell has the best performance on the Slaughterhouse album.

There were two different Build and Destroys one was a double CD the other was a single disc it only got 2 Neptune tracks on it .. imo tracks like Danger, Lights Out, What Would You Do, Spit Game, I Won't Be, U Don't Know Me, Life Goes On, Take Me Away are all dope shit.

I thought the premise of the thread was the vibe list...and whose the best rapper not who would win face to face freestyle battle. To me albums says more than battles and mixtapes in determining whose the better rapper.
