5th Letter- You think the IC is dying?
DarthRozay- eh, depends on perspective. you can look at the glass half full or half empty. either way it's not as popular as it used to be. man, the hack of the whole site was pretty crazy. coming to the front page expecting to see something like "50 cent releases 7th single from new album no one cares about" and instead getting hit with dead bodies, racist shit, etc.
5th Letter- What were your early memories of the IC?
DarthRozay- damn man, a lot of my early memories are of the donkey. I was a small fry on the IC in those days and I don't think most of my posts went unnoticed, but I remember legends like BookerT, CarlWeathers aka Uncle_Carl one of the greatest IC posters I've witnessed. you had joesun, that 1 dude who had beef with goobs, he used to use the hamburglar from mcdonalds to rep him, I remember dude had photoshopped game's Doctor's Advocate into something with burgers lmao. I caught the tailend of Lufa Kangs vs The Revolution. The big hack by 4chan that one year, with tons of grotesque stuff all over the front page. random lil things too, like Graduation leaking and there being different versions without Wayne on Barry Bonds.
Plus you've got all the latest crazy shit that's happened. Shenco roast thread, Bruse Wane roast thread, Bow Wow roast thread. supergangster and blackgod droppin hilarious non-english quotes. Couldn't forget the time I got "exposed" for being a cracka by JG. You know that fool gee looooooooooves to bring it up. It's gotta be in his top 10 favorite things to say; along with all the 50/em/dre/suge/mmg shit, bringing up the time turf supported kreayshawn, and of course the "mexican cracka STEWpid".
5th Letter- What was the craziest things you've seen since you've been on the IC?
DarthRozay- but crazy shit that actually went down within the IC? man the exposures back in the day were wild as hell, people would be postin up someone's personal info like where they worked and shit, their actual personal info not just "oh look I found your twitter, why you tweetin @ nas so much?"
that shenco roast thread was crazy too, but in a more positive way. I dunno what it was about it, maybe the fact that shenco is actually serious and doesn't come across like he has mental issues like some posters do, that made people actually join in on it.
5th Letter- What are some things you'd like to change about the IC?
DarthRozay- I'd like to see more activity in general. Not just new posters (especially ones that don't just spam their bullshit and actually have some kinda personality) but more activity in some of the subforums. tell me how the hell a monizzle thread on the latest tidal update or a bcotton thread telling us wayne put "birdman is a bitch" on his skateboard, gets more activity than the entire rnb & alternatives subforum? especially considering this is a hip-hop forum and just about every other genre of music has been worked into some form of hip-hop. you like g-funk? bet you'll like parliament/funkadelic. like tribe called quest? bet you'll find some kinda jazz music you like. so on and so on.
I'd love that subforum to turn into some bizarro version of the reason. people sharing their love/hate for certain artist, laughing at their losses, saluting them when they do something that someone respects (no bawse d. lox tho) having top 5's etc. etc. plus look at the zany characters that the reason attracts. can you imagine different musical versions of some of em? an elvis thread gets made and the resident elvis hater comes in posting half of the posts in the thread with shit like "fukk da racist cracKA PELVIS 4 steelin frm proud blk men like chuck berry rok n rowl is BLK MUSIK post tha cracka shit on ya own 4um!" or "beiber dies, I die!"
as shitty as other forums like lilwaynehq, KTT and e-coli are, they do seem to have it pretty good as far subforums for other kinds of music/artists. other than that I don't think there's a whole lot that I'd change, maybe some minor tweaks as far as formatting and layout of the forum. scroll down that main forum page and notice how it turns more into a graveyard the further you go down. just get rid of that shitty subforum thats inbetween the reason and rnb and only has 1 thread, where all the posts are either "I'm in" or spamming bullshit. just have an annoucement bulletin/thread at the top of the page for things like that when they're going on.
it could do with a whole restructure and new look honestly, but we all know the "upgrades" have never actually been upgrades, plus we lose posters every time the site is down for a while. on some real shit, the whole website could do with being redone. the main page looks like it was designed by someone who knew how to make a website on a TECHNICAL level, but was completely clueless on how to make it look appealing and have it be user friendly.
speaking of the main page, I gotta shoutout whoever mentioned in their interview the idea of having IC stuff featured/linked on the main page. dope idea. especially since there really isn't anything on the main site that screams "hey! click here if you wanna talk hip-hop!" just going by what people have said in the other interviews, a lot of us found the IC after getting bored with illseed or just perusing the site, bored. most people probably don't click the community tab cause they think its gonna be "come to this such soup kitchen and talk hip-hop with the homeless!" or some type of unicef shit where 10 cents a day can help feed a hungry supergangster or put shadyteam's child through school. aight that's my dissertation on IC updates lol in conclusion and all that shit

People just expect anonymous people on the internet to be similar to them so when my pics got posted everyone was surprised.
