I know females catch a lot of flack on here for what they watch, but I'm one who does not get into all that mess. I don't get the hype around watching Real Housewives, Tiny and Toya, Basketball Wives and the like. I feel like I have little in common with other females because it seems like what the majority are doing or like, I don't. I'd rather watch a scripted drama or comedy. I'm a big fan of Dexter, Spartacus (R.I.P. Andy), and the like. I watch more stuff on Netflix than I do tv.

Honestly, they lost me the second time David got kicked off Real World behind some obvious bullshit. Think it was when Puck spit in his face, the whole house said they'd walk if Puck got kicked off, David got booted, and Puck proved he was as fucked up as David claimed.

Yeah I don't like these "Reality Shows" Jersey Shore is my guilty pleasure but I haven't watched in weeks. Reality shows have sitcom situations/scenarios that are so obvious that its fake. I don't get why shows like"E True Hollywood stories" doing features on Snooki and Bethany Frankel.

Idk.... I love love love Jersey Shore. I'm from Jersey so maybe I'm bias. It is the only reality show I watch though, well sometimes I watch house hunter and millionaire matchmaker. I think some of the dudes on here are bias. You hate JS because the women are not really "lookers." If they were hot no one would complain. I don't see anyone complaining about the kardashians - probably the worst and most staged show on tv (so I heard). It sounds like hating to me. You mad like a lot of people, that they getting money for really doing nothing. You mad at the kkk girls too? Or is it ok cause they "bangin?" FOH.

I like reality tv in as much as i dont live in america and dont have to put up with the types of people they are meant to portray so i can laugh at most of it, though i never watched the Hills or Ray Js shit ex and her family..... Do these shows reflect american people cause basically i have been there but never met anyone remotely as crazy etc as these shows.

So, as you watch Real World, it gets nuttier and less real with each subsequent season as the people involved are more and more one-dimensional.
Basically, the shows reflect some of us but not all. The sad part, however, is that there is an alarming increase of people who identify with and try to be these stereotypes on purpose. These shows are making ignorance cool, especially among women. I heard several females--grown-ass 21+ women--talking about which girl on The Bad Girls Club they were.
Your perception is wrong for the moment, but it might be the rule before long.

The last real world ( in vegas ) was funny to me because the black guy on the show was the actual sensible one!! ... lol i normally cringe when i see black people on reality tv, esp after Flavour flav, then again that showed women ( and men ) will do anything for fame.
