Natty natty inna zimbabwe, go deh natty go deh inna zimbabwe

Reggae unlike dancehall(its lil brother) is all about upliftment...so naturally the media and the powers that be will steer blacks away from it, they're those who know though.

My homie from chicago steady be hitting me up about Damian Marley and new shit he's listening to.

Reggae = black upliftment/rebel music/music for unity, crackaz dont want that.

You now figuring this shit out reggae which is a genre that actually encompasses many different musical styles is much more balanced than hip-hop currently is.

I prefer hip hop. I cannot understand a good majority of what most reggae singers are saying.

all starting to make sense now tho.

Musical taste is a matter of opinion.

You just discovered reggae or some shit ?

What you basing it on - there's tons of crappy reggae just like wack rap.

Nah, I have been listening to reggae for a long while too (I was born in the West Indies). Sure, there may be some wack reggae too, but there is just something about good reggae that is uplifting. So with reggae you have the musical excellence plus the uplift. That makes it better, IMO.

imma have to nosign this shit..

aint nobody tryin to uplift these bitches.. im tryin to take'em down. lol

cant nobody turn up to that shit..

I cant bang reggae cuz. Like nah. I cant een vibe to the shit. No diss to niggas that do, its all good but nah . I did like the Jam Rocc shit when that came out cuz of the hook

I have always said this and felt this way.

reggae birthed hiphop so its only natural to be more advanced.but nothing is like a nice medley on a nice riddim.

shit by banging for like 15 minutes

Reggae is music for the soul. After a good listening session and a few blunts u feel like u in paradise. I pretty much meditate with reggae music. It's very uplifting to the mind, body & soul.

I didn't actually start appreciating Reggae until I started smoking weed(as cliche as that sounds) it's a nice change of pace and it can mellow you out. I used to listen to rap only then got put on to jazz and now I'm starting to listen to reggae, and older r&b. After listening to other genres you start to see how limited rap is. Yet it's amazing what songs a good rapper/producer can put out despite how limited they are, some rap speaks to the soul more than reggae and vice versa it really depends on your taste, your mood and the song, but overall I'm starting to like Reggae more the Rap at the moment.
