Race of the person you're marrying isn't as trivial as the TC makes it seem. As crazy as it sounds, depending on where you are interracial couples still get treated differently in this country. Not everyone wants to deal with that. Then you have to deal with the other person's family. If they are not necessarily cool with people of your race, that presents a lot of hardships. My homeboy has been dating this Indian chick for years. They were talking about marriage before I even met my wife. Now five years later, they still aren't even engaged. Why not? Well, partially, because this chick's family and friends all basically told her they would disown her if she married a black man. So the past 5 years have been spent trying to get them all to see reason and give my friend a chance. Seriously, who wants to go through that bullshit? And then if they finally do get married, what happens when they have kids and her family members treat their kids like second class citizens in the family?

Yeah I hear ya... I don't know what to add on but yeah his situation is definitly a tricky one, maybe if she goes against their wish they'll just be forced to give him a chance... Stupid ass people that "disown" their children for whatever reason... It's your children, you don't have to love what they do but you have to love them regardless...
