Good rating. I differ in a few though. Black Album is easily 5 mics. The album is flawless. BP3 is easily 4.5 MICS. Only bad track was Venus vs. Mars. No way in hell Vol.3 is better or Kingdom Come is equivalent,

BP3 sucked, but I was actually feelin Venus vs Mars, the double entendres were kinda weak, but I got the concept. It definitely was better than Haters, Reminder, Forever Young, and Ghetto Techno (I dont care if it wasnt part of the album, dude really thought that song was hot, he sang it like he meant it, smh).

The thing is I actually had the International Version of "Vol 3", the one that Un Rivera had bootlegged and brought back to thes states (And got him stabbed by Jay's boy). That version had 3 "Hova" interludes and "Anything" on it. It didn't have "I think their been a murder" on it. That version was actually pretty soild. "Blueprint 3", I'm sorry, I give it 3.5. I wouldn't be mad at 4 but there's no way it's a 4.5 cause it's not better than "AG" and that's a solid 4. It had some weak material, "Venus and Mars", "Hate". Overall the album wasn't that great but it wasn't horrbile either, I'd say it's average. What hurts is I had to rank "Dynasty" last.

Yes the production was very good but sadly it was really a "Roc a Fella" compliation and Jay should of kept it that way instead of at the last minute changing it to one of his own LP's. "Blueprint 2" was just all over the place and not a great double disc at all. "Kindom Come" does get some unjust hate but let's be real, though it's one of Jay's deepest albums, it was very hit or miss. Every Jay album had Classic songs and bangers but he really dropped the ball on a few of those albums. I know people are shocked I ranked "Vol 2" so high, that album gets way to much hate cause it was successful and is very callabo heavy. That album was fire from top to bottom and the only reason it's not a Classic is cause It was very commerical album.

C/S all of this... I remember the "international version", I always thought it was the original one til I bought the real copy a few years ago and heard that "Murder" track. KC and Vol 2 get way too much hate cuz they were his most successful albums at the highest points of his career. Its hard to rate a Jay album outside the obvious classics/near classics (RD, BP, BA), cuz theres at least two classic songs on each album (yup, even BP3), but it seems like when he gets too comfortable he just phones it in

Yall really like RD that much? I only liked Regrets, D'evils, The Coming of age, Death presidents and maybe two to three more.

Thats pretty much the whole album. And those songs are hip hop classics, or at the least dope ass songs. Weakest track on there is prolly Aint No Nigga, only by default

fuck the mods. i had made a happy 47th girthday party thread for jay z but it has to be approved.

without sounding like a stan, can one of you jigga warriors give me a honest answer on why reasonable doubt is a so called classic. the album is boring as hell. im about to go climb back in bed just thinking of the bland ass lullaby production and syrupy uninspired rhymes on the album. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Yes, I was just finishing up 10th Grade that summer. It was the summer of "Independence Day", that movie killed the Box Office. Anyways, "RD" dropped with little to no fan fair. I had brought it cause I had the original "Dead Presidents" single which is what put me on to Jay. I saw that Biggie, Foxy and Mary J was one the album so I gave it a chance. Boy was I surprised. I've been one of the main fans out in the world that has called that album a Classic for the last 14 years now. It went Gold that year and the "Dead Presidents" single went Gold also so for a new artist, that's a pretty good year. Sadly Jay was outshinned by other great 96 albums. I just remember that summer I was bumping Jay, Outkast, NaS and Tupac. But "RD" has NO WEAK Songs. Yes, the weakest would probably be "Ain't No Nigga" and that song was fire for the clubs back then. Everything else is Classic or near Classic and the production was crazy, Ski, Premo, Clark Kent and Irv Gotti killed it:

Can't Knock the Hustle - 5 MICS

Politics as Usual - 5 MICS

Dead Presidents - 5 MICS

BK's Finest - 5 MICS

Feelin It - 5 MICS

D'evils - 5 MICS

22 Two's - 5 MICS

Can I Live - 5 MICS

Ain't No Nigga - 4 MICS

Friend or Foe - 4.5 MICS

Coming of Age - 5 MICS

Cashmare Thoughts - 4.5 MICS

Bring it on - 4.5 MICS

Regrets - 5 MICS

NO WEAK SONGS, It's a CLASSIC.
