Yes, I was just finishing up 10th Grade that summer. It was the summer of "Independence Day", that movie killed the Box Office. Anyways, "RD" dropped with little to no fan fair. I had brought it cause I had the original "Dead Presidents" single which is what put me on to Jay. I saw that Biggie, Foxy and Mary J was one the album so I gave it a chance. Boy was I surprised. I've been one of the main fans out in the world that has called that album a Classic for the last 14 years now. It went Gold that year and the "Dead Presidents" single went Gold also so for a new artist, that's a pretty good year. Sadly Jay was outshinned by other great 96 albums. I just remember that summer I was bumping Jay, Outkast, NaS and Tupac. But "RD" has NO WEAK Songs. Yes, the weakest would probably be "Ain't No Nigga" and that song was fire for the clubs back then. Everything else is Classic or near Classic and the production was crazy, Ski, Premo, Clark Kent and Irv Gotti killed it:
