IMO Uptown Saturday Night is not jus a solid album, it's a classic!

"Coolie High" is one of the ulitimate late night cruising/playa songs ever made.....

80 blocks from Tiffanys pt 1 & 2 w/Pete Rock on the mix ......

Some of .....well .....a lot of the lyrics I have yet to decipher but the flows and beats are silk & satin

Camp Lo embodies what the 90s were all about. You had a bunch of groups out who had talent and solid albums, that would never go double platinum or be superstars, who simply made dope music. What I like most about Camp Lo, is when you listen to their music, you go into their world. They had their own sound and slang, and it was like listening to early Wu Tang, where you had to decipher what they were talking about and everybody had different meanings.

Production-wise, Uptown Saturday Night is one of the best hip hop albums of all time and it's a cult classic that you should own on vinyl if you're into that vintage hip hop kinda stuff.

I remember when Uptown Saturday Night was out. I had a friend that worked at Fat Beats and I got a promo copy. I listened to it a few times but quite honestly I wasn't feeling it. Not saying that it was wack, but I thought there was better stuff out at the time.
