1, Owners Manual-just now digesting, this is SERIOUS. Reminiscent of More Saturday night car tunes as far as beig a potent ass ep

2, Carrollton Heist-took a while to digest, it's tough

3, Legend of Harvard Blue- brand new, i feel its gon grow

4, Revolver- if this was CDQ it'd be a banger

5, Bourbon Street Secrets

6, Canal Street- 1st Spitta project i skip thru. Just wasnt feelin the more mainstream attempt

7, Weed & Instrumentals- i prefer Spitta on og beats

I didn't really listen to revolver since I was moreso watching the vid and I said I'll wait for the actual tape itself so I won't include it

CSC 6/10

OM 6.5/10

CH 7/10

W&I 6/10

BSS 7.5/10

TLHB 8/10

And I'm a well documented fan

I can dig those ratings except for Owner's Manual. On first few listens i was so stuck on Mallory Knox (perhaps his best beat ever) and the intro. But it just hit me within the last week that whole ep is disgusting

Maybe I gotta go back and listen then...

And the only track I listen to on Weed and instrumentals is a track he not even rapping on

Yea Owners Manual is potent af. Took me a couple revisits and whip test. Forecast is disgusting in the whip

Weed n instrumentals "Jets in This" with Fiend on the hook is my shit.

'Was up in my brothers staaaaash, was just 14 years old, and tho im not a murdereerrrr'

Other than that the intro, Ultimate, corner boy p on cut it and ritz Carlton are the only memorable tracks

No matter how much I try I can't bump a tape all the way thru....been like 3 yrs now. But the stoner in me WONT quit on spitta, every time I see a interview or hear a freestyle or w.e. I'm like "I gotta hear more of his dude" no tape sticks with me thoooo...Got a Q of some Gorilla Glue yesterday...recommend some dope project for me to skim thru.

That Above track off Weed N Instrumentals is my shit. Marcelo ate that shit. I'm still trying to look where the original track comes from

This nigga got a serious work ethic

I could listen to Curren$y all day....i heard Owners Manual and Carrollton Heist.....i need to listen to Revolver

Canal Street Confidential - 9/10. I really liked this album even though people though it was too commercial.

January - Owner's Manual - 7/10. Sounded like classic Spitta on this one.

February - Carrollton Heist - 6/10. This one was missing something. Idk but Covert Coup was so good that it didn't grab me like before.

March -

Weed & Instrumentals - 8/10. Reminded me of how he first started with rapping over other people's beats.

Revolver - 5/10. I need to hear an unedited version of this like Beta mentioned.

April - Bourbon Street Secrets - 9/10. This is probably my favorite one to come out this year. Anticipation though

May - Legend of Harvard Blue. I haven't digested it fully yet so I'll rate that one later.

S/n i just found out the 'carrolton heist' is from the movie Truck Turner, and 'Harvard blue' was he vilian in that same movie

Spitta has been sampling Blaxploitation flicks for a minute, bc of him ima make that a new hobby. That Harvard Blue cover is instantly my favorite cover ever

"-you lookin good Blue

-Im lookin better than ever. Im rich, got money, im cute, handsome, now what the hell is on your mind!?"

Bourbon street secrets - A+

Beef jerky tough. Macho Man Randy Savage tough. Overcooked steak tough. Vegeta tough. Kevin Garnett tough. Lebron James's flop game tough. A bitch who got good pussy but can't cook's food tough. Bruce Wayne tough. Mike Tysons Punchout tough. Steve Rogers tough. "I got shot 9 times" tough. Stone Cold tough. Ali tough. I mean, he's still apologizing about the wraith on this, lol. I could get serious on my explanation of BSS but I won't. Just kno, it's tough.

Owners manual and Harvard blue - A

Owners manual was slept on fr. Dope production, dope Andretti. The sampling of his own shit on the Intro and Came Up is perfect. And as another poster said already, Mallory Knox is disgusting. Tape got gems on it but for some reason, it was slept on when first released. I don't see why. Harvard Blue has just a little bit better verses from him but slightly slacking as far as production compared to owners manual. These are both great tapes.

Carrolton heist - B-

Dope tape but it felt like it lacked something. Kinda hard to explain. The tracks were too short and when you hear spitta and alchemist is coming back, you'd expect more than what this was. Covert coupe spoiled us all.

Canal Street Confidential - C- or D. Somewhere around there, lol.

It was.... Ok. Too many tracks for the ladies imo. I feel like he stepped one foot out of his lane simply because it was a commercially released album and maybe he felt like he had to. I dunno. How high, what's up, bottom of the bottle, and superstar was too much for me. Boulders, everywhere, all wit my hands, speed, and spittas verse on drive by, all go. Would have been better as a mixtape/ep with some of the extra ish left off. It got decent rotation in the whip tho but there was too many tracks I had to hit the next button on.

Weed & Instrumentals - D

The reason I'm a currency fan is because of the laid back beats over the laid back flow. I felt like this tape was mostly missing that especially on the production side. Getting on other people's shit isn't spittas lane imo. I didn't too much like him back in the day when he was with Wayne doing that shit either. This the only currency tape that I flat out didn't like this year. I just wasn't feeling this one.

Revolver - I

This is just incomplete. It could be at the top of the list as far as his 2016 shit goes cause Sledro and Spitta can't fail but the movie cutaways and the quality of the shit due to it being ripped directly from the movie makes it difficult to listen to and judge. I hear everyday thangs thinking this shit bout to GO! That vintage vineyard beat? Filthy. Then I hear spitta talking to Duffy about who knows what....-_- Nigga need to pull the full songs, CDQ, out the vault.

All that's just my opinion tho.
