Alot of cats flip flop...........They start out one way, try to grow into summin else, get hated on for it, then come back to what there known for...

Case and Point: Ludacris

Showed lots of growth on "Release Therapy" and "Theatre of The Mind"......Sales were dissapointing........Now he's doin "Battle Of The Sexxes"....

Co-sign. Another case in point is Cam'ron. I've never seen another rapper that actively tries to dumb down their lyrics as much as him. It's hard to imagine that he actually sounded like an intelligent pre-1999. Then, when you just think his skills are lost, he randomly drops something like this:

But of course, this doesn't sell, so his next single is this:

SMH at wasted talent.

Theater of the Mind was a good fusion of serious and crazy Luda, but Release Therapy was so... I dont know preachy? I think he is still growing, he is finding out how to be serious without changing his style, which is what RT was completely devoid of (besides Slap!)

I think Wayne has progressed from his early Cash Money days to now, whether for the best or worse is debatable.

i only think he has expanded in terms of status, delivery and his volume

other than that he's been rappin about the same thing since 1998

Julez Santana .

I think him growin up under Cam'ron and with Jay Z co-signing the diplomats, set him at a position to be great early. He dropped a pretty catchy album a way ago, and i always thought he'd run with the motivation.
I know the contract situation got in the way, but he was fuckin with the Pre-Carter 3 Wayne, on some mixtape shit..

I always thought Julez would raise up, (especially since he ran Wayne of most of they features, IMO) and make a name for himself.
He had a head start, but now he gotta worry about Lloyd Banks and Fab as far as the new generation King of New York race..

He need to drop somthing fast!

Juelz was always garbage. Always

While I think he still makes some nice shit but Jay-z so called growth to me is nothing more than Jigga trying to purposely connect to his Hollywood and white fan base which has greatly hurt his albums and music overall. Songs like Forever Young and Beach Chair are perfect examples of this both are garbage, but yeah he succeeded in that now he's white America favorite rapper now especially among the Hollywood and "social elites". I cant knock him for that cause I think that what he wanted so more power to him, I just wish Jay went back to that raw shit.

Growth = Eminem from The Slim Shady LP to The Eminem Show with each Album covering the most personal topics and making deep records about real life experiences such as poverty, parenting, drug addiction, politics, relationships, love etc and releasing non typical Singles that have a message like Beautiful & Cleaning Out My Closet

Least Growth = Jay Z every one of his 11 Album's has the same content & topics of hustling drug's, materalism & wealth majority wise

Music with no Soul or thought or substance

14 years of also stealing Lyrics from Biggie Small's as well as other MC's, stealing concepts from other MC's like Nas, stealing Hook's & Song Titles from 2pac as well

Kingdom Come & Blueprint 3 = in the top 5 category for worst Album's ever made

Cam'ron as much as I like him has regressed something serious.

GTFOH!!!! Dipset Cam is way better than COC Cam. Dude switched his style up and became unique. Back in the day he was just like every other NYC rapper. Now his shit cant even be duplicated.

Most growth - Wayne

Least growth - Lupe

Getwitcha

Yes I agree with you that he switched up his style and his style is unduplicated but he lost his lyrical ability along the way. All that obbly boobly shit was unique in 2002 but in 2010 he is STILL rapping like that.
