Miss me witht that shit. People been saying is in the house for the longest when repping their cities

Is "insert city" in the house. You mean to tell me he coined the phrase?

And going by your logic then Ronnie Hudson put LA on the Map

"In the city of Compton" LA, Watts and whatnot.

YES!!! I'm saying Cutmaster DC coined the phrase "In The House"

Prove me wrong

Maestro Fresh Wes put Canada on the map...

" The first single "Let Your Backbone Slide" became the first hit single in Canadian hip hop history, appearing on Billboard's Hot Rap Singles chart."

Scarface/Geto Boys were the first from Houston to really get noticed on a national scale and then UGK and Devin came along but Lil Flip doesnt really get enough credit for the attention he brought to the city too especially in terms of introducing the culture to the masses

THE LOX: YONKERS

I know she ain't a rapper but Mary put Yonkers on first didn't she

If that's the case might as well say a Motown act for Detroit, Jodeci for North Carolina, and Marvin Gaye or Johnny Gill for DC.

I want to @ shadyteam for more info on UK rap. But I already know which direction the thread will go if I do.

Akala

Giggz (never heard his music heard his name a bit)

Wretch 32

Tinchy stryder

Skepta

Chipmunk aka chip (commercial shit is eh, but his 1xtra freestyles used to go in)

Lethal bizzle

Jme

Tinie tempah (haven't heard him in a while his old shit was cool)

Devlin (whiteboy but he can spit)

Most have had a commercial run at some point couple are more underground.

Master p put Louisiana on the map imo

Via the bay area

what??

master p first two albums he was claiming richmond califorina. then he put out a compilation called west coast bad boyz. he repped richmond to the fullest. e-40 started making more money down south than in the bay and that's when master p went back and reinvented himself as a down south rapper from new orleans

you talking about the ones prior to Ice Cream Man?

i dont acknowledge those

he put louisiana on the map with Ice Cream man...end of story

as far as Baton Rouge, I would say C-Loc and Young Bleed put BR on the map before boosie did, however, boosie and webbie did take it mainstream when they hooked up with Pimp
