Nas is a brilliant lyricist but in interviews he can come of kind of slow or depressed.

Yeah, I remember when he came out with the "Untitled" album and was doing a disingenuous protest of Fox news, but every time an interviewer would ask him why he was protesting Fox he would give these generic/trite pseudo intellectual answers.

Also, Nas should never read on camera or in public ever again, one of the best lyricists of all time and he has the reading cadence of a 3rd grader... very ironic.

I know this is a rap thread, but it's always uncomfortable watching a Jhene Aiko interview.

Why's that?

She's incredibly inarticulate and long winded which is a bad combo. She makes good music though.

Idk why i like her. She isnt really a good singer. She stays the same tone for themost part. Kinda talk/sings.

I listened to her album and all the songs kinda sounded the same.

She has a nice voice tho. I like her on hooks. She fine too

I like her because she knows how to write songs and has a calm voice. She's limited, yes, but I think that helps with her sound.

but krs one seems to into whatever he's talking about but then he doesn't explain himself too well..and the whole hip hop is everything just comes off as dumb, then again don't most ppl pushing a religion come off as dumb

Most people don't have good interviewing skills, it's different when you at home writing rhymes as opposed to having a mic shoved in your face. We all would go through it, sitting there talking in a natural atmosphere it's all cool

He also uses words at the wrong time, even though they may technically fit. It ends up sounding mad awkward like, "man this pizza's toppings are perplexing magnificent. My decadent tastebuds cannot contain themselves. After this meal ill go for a delightful post-prandial stroll."
