Rapper Pill Has Been Dropped From Maybach Music Group

The tradition of rap producers digging into the annals of Nick at Nite classics to bolster their beats is long and varied, from Souls of Mischief’s Taxi-sampling “Cab Fare” to Cam’ron and company going in on Night Court’s opening credits on the “Horse and Carriage” remix. Atlanta Maybach Music member, Pill is another to add to the list, with his I Love Lucy-appropriating track, “Represent.” Pill doesn’t rap over a direct mutation of the theme song, instead it’s finessed into a hypnotic banger that drips more ferocity than a frustrated Ricky Ricardo. “Represent” comes from his upcoming mixtape, The Epidemic.

He's dropped as far as I'm concerned, Ross never retweets anything Pill puts up, but he does for Wale, Meek, and Stalley

I always kinda liked pill, he is much better than wale is now

but then trust police chief richard ross, to choose o keep the wacker rapper

I appreciate your posts because your Top-ten and location reflects the accurate sensibilities of your musical taste based on your orientation.

You are a Mullatto from Europe and your posts reflect that.

Many whites, mulattos, and Europeons prefer music from Emenim, Snow, Necro, and Yelowolf because it's easier for them to relate to than a Nigerian/Afrikan from DC like Wale or the Haitian/Jamaican/Latino movement that MMG represents.

Stalley is an excellent replacement for Pill because he is a semi-conscious spitter from the Mid-West who represents a market that is underrepresented.

ATL rappers are a dime-a-dozen but a Muslim emcee from OHIO is a breath of fresh air who along with Rashad'sproduction and singing can carve a untapped niche into our movement to keep the culture organic and indigenous, and Afrikan-orientated and combat the Euro/Homo/Emo/Weirdo move, net that the rap-labels have wholeheartedly embraced.

I like more black rappers than white

and the rapper i relate most to is hopsin who is black

eminem is just a better rapper

Im a fan of stalley and I like pill

wale used to be a semi concious, indie rapper with a bit of style, sort of like a watered down kanye

now he is no flow, mumbling poser, trying to be more 'trill' whatever the fuck that means

try to stick to the points im making, and dont make broad blanket statements reflecting my nationality and background

everyone is different.

Yes we see how prideful you are about how Emenim & Insane-Clown-Posse have sold more than MMG but we take pride in the fact that there are artists who don't cater to you or make music that you feel inclined to support. :)

We delight over the fact that we have music that we can enjoy for ourselves without Europeons, Euro-Americans, or outsiders attaching themselves to the music and tainting the enjoyment of it with their support.

I like good rappers, you know ones with a lot of skill.
not everyone is going to relate to everyone thats the beauty of diversity.

ross just seems obselete to me

I like a bit of soulful black rooted music just as much as you, but i just dont find it in ross because he is a one flow, fat wheezing tar-hippo lying about coke deals he never made over cheap 2006 beats

if i want to hear some REAL black music i usually listen to jazz (Louie armstrong, Miles Davis, Charles Mingus)
but if thats too pure, then some good rappers who make smooth and deep black hip hop are
black thought, talib kweli, Rakim and yeah even Stalley

I love black music, my good friend
but ross just isnt very good.

I appreciate your admission on you being able to relate to Hopsin more than Wale.

That is understandable.

Wale was able to sell a remarkable amount of records this year because he catered to the HBCU crowd, the AA community, and the Sista's......he ignored the Lady-Gaga/Emenim/Skylar Grey freaks and he had mainstream success! I was so proud of my Afrikan brother!

The MMG movement is the only mainstream movement that hasn't gave in to the white-washing movement of the culture and they have my 100% support.
