Well besides his albums before off the wall...I'd say:

dangerous
thriller
off the wall
bad
HIStory
invincible

Bad is overrated IMO. Good album, but overrated.

edit: i forgot to add HIStory. *added*

#1 Thriller - It's the most successful album EVER. It's the 1st album where every single song was basically a hit song. It had some of the greatest singles in music history. Michael voice on each track was perfect. The video changed music videos forever. The album is perfect. It's the "ILLmatic" before "ILLmatic" cause it only had 9 song and they were all perfect. It's hard not to say this is the greatest album of ALL TIME.

Favorite Tracks: Thriller, Beat It, Human Nature, Wanna Be Starting Something, Lady in my Life

#2. Off The Wall - This album is Classic cause it was Michael's 1st album post Jackson 5. Like Thriller after it, the 10 songs are all great songs. The album is flawless and mixed many different genre's like RnB, Pop and Disco. Also look at the videos of this album. Before Michael changed the video game with "Thriller", I would agrue "Off The Wall's" vidoes were very creative and ahead of it's time.

Favorite Tracks: Rock With You, Don't Stop Till You Get Enough, Off The Wall, I can't Help It, Dance With Me

#3. Bad - This album is lost in the shuffle of Great MJJ LP's cause the two before it was timeless masterpieces. But this is one also. The great thing about MJJ was no album sounded the same. He flipped his style on each album. This album is way more edgy than both "Thriller" and "Off the Wall". It also spanned 5 #1 singles which no album has matched since.

Favorite Tracks: Bad, Man in the Mirror, Liberan Girl, Dirty Diana, Smooth Criminal

#4. Dangerous - Amazing album and made Michael the GOAT to me. 4 Straight Classic albums that was unheard of in the music industry. The album was produced by Teddy Reliy so the New Jack Swing was in full effect. I loved Michael's aggressive Vocals.

Favorite Tracks: Black or White, Jam, Who Is It, Remember The Time, In the Closet

#5. HIStory - Michael dropped agruable the greatest Double LP EVER. The 1st disc was nothing but Classic the 2nd Disc was Michael lashing out at the world as he provided some great material. The album was amazing and criminally slept on by the masses dispite it's success.

Favorite Tracks: Scream, This Time Around, Earth Song, They don't care about Us, You are Not Alone, Stranger in Moscow

#6. Invincible - Michael's last LP to the world and it was criminally slept on also cause the hate he was getting after the cases. Great album, very musical and very mature Michael. I suggest many pop this back in and realize this album is amazing. From beginning to end.

Favorite Tracks: You Rock My World, Unbreakable, Whatever Happens, Butterflies

Mcihael Jackson as a young member of the Jackson 5 released 4 solo albums so it's more the 6. It's 10. Here's how I rate his pre-adult Solo albums:

#1. Got To be There (Highlights: got To Be There, Wanna Be Where You Are, Ain't No Sunshine "Cover", Rockin Robin)

#2. Ben (Highlights: Ben, People make the world go round "Cover")

#3. Music And Me (Highlights: Music and Me and With a Child's Heart)

#4. Forever Michael (Highlights: Almost There)

10 Albums, 10 Classics = PERFECT CAREER = THE G.O.A.T.

Bad(one of the greatest albums in history period. Ranks No. 3 on my list on fav albums. Just a classic, no bad songs on here to me, and the Special Edition version is a classic as well with two killer songs in Fly Away and Streetwalker)

Thriller(classic, just not as good as Bad to me. Maybe because Bad was released in my birth year, but still, Thriller is an amazing album. Lady In My Life shuts down all these R & B niggas even today)

Off The Wall(classic, but a few songs on there like Burn This Disco and the falling in love aren't really hitting to me)

Dangerous(classic, but a few of the songs aren't undeniably amazing. But i love this album)

History(the realest music Mike's ever put out. A classic in its own right, just would've preferred a double disc of ALL new music, but a classic nonetheless)

Invincible(still a slept on album, Speechless, Butterflies, You Rock My World, Break of Dawn, Heaven Can Wait are classic joints, but 2000 Watts can never be forgiven IMO)

what he said.

if thriller is not your top mj album (and arguably the best album ever created in the history of music), you seriously need to re-evaluate your taste in music.
