Rakim had a big impact on they way dudes rhymed period, but all these rappers wanted to be Pac at one point. You can't argue impact. Was Rakim a better lyricist of course, but if we are saying more impact, its got to be Pac

I'm not arguing that, but what I'm saying is Pac had more time in the media then Rakim ever did and Pac kame out at a time of better music tv

Rakim had more impact on actual writers/rhymers (myself included). The man ain't invent internal rhyme though. I'm sure that's not what you really meant tho. He was/still is a master at it though. Definitely made rappers step their written game up.

And that's not downing Pac's writing in the slightest.

lyrically Ra was probably one of the best to ever do it... the monotone flow and lack of personality (and business) is probably what held him back from being even greater than great.

WHAT ARE YOU SAYING? THE MAN HAS THE BEST FLOW IN RAP everything is so FLUID and all his bars HIT it's full of personality . He just got a deep voice not a MONOTONE flow. He flows, maybe you should figure out what flow is.

RAKIM >>> TUPAC ;he out raps him easy.

thats your opinion bruh... Rah is in my top 10 and he has more classic songs than albums.. pac was more of a hybrid between Rakim and Spice1 ... he embodied the east & west.
