Well you hear the word nigga everywhere, chances are a 5 year old has heard it somewhere other than parents.

But.... Exactly, imo these kids have learned the term from their parents. I don't know anyone with tourettes though so I can't judge them to know if they're sincere in saying they don't mean it. It's kind of hard to tell someone who walks alone and suddenly yells "fuck, shit, MICROWAVE OVEN" that they are saying it and not being honest when they say they know its wrong and dont mean it.
