Reason i like Eminem is cos his Lyrics are deep and he talks about personal things the average person on the corner of the street can relate to

wether it's Song's about escaping poverty & the hood like 8 Mile Road, If I Had or Rock Bottom or Song's about his responsibilties as a parent and how his daughter is the most important to him like Mockingbird & Hailies Song or Song's about his family troubles like Cleaning Out My Closet or just inspiring Song's with Soul like Lose Yourself, Beautiful & We As Americans and i really like his Beat's like Lose Yourself, Renegade , Don't Push Me, Superman etc and all the Album's he has Produced i think his Beat's are really dope

I think while he makes deep Song's about the topics i said he also is Lyrical with it as far as Multi's, Rhyme Schemes, Story Telling, Word Play and Cadence

I think the bonus is yeh he has deep Lyrics and makes emotional Music but his Hook's are very catchy, when i hear an Eminem Hook it stays stuck in my head and the thing is the Hook's have meaning too it's just he knows how to make them catchy

I like his Singing as well i think he is a good Singer and the fact he is a Lyricist who Sing's with emotion is really great

And another thing is he can make entertaining Song's like I'm Shady or My Name Is that can make you laugh cos on an Album i don't think most people wanna hear just deep and personal Song's about his life i think cos he makes a few funny Song's with humour he gives a full package that's the Redman influence as far as shock value for entertainment

Now i'm not saying everyone should be a fan i can only explain why i am a fan cos it's rare when an Artist can connect like Eminem i think he is just a Lyricist who makes deep records about his life and his life experience is what the average human goes through cos the average human grows up poor struggling or has responsibilities a a parent or has drama with their family or drama with their wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend and i think the average human understand the rag's to riches story of coming from a poor home in Detroit that is broken, flipping burgers for a living while trying to get your daughter outta the hood, having a crazy wife who is a drug addict and just struggling day to day and they get out and become a super star

When I heard Eminem say blacks were "RACIST" towards him I lost all respect for him. And this was before the racist tapes which just confirmed everything I thought about him

He is still an ill emcee but by FAR over rated. Any time an outsider is AVERAGE at what he does he is seen as more than what he is. I have noticed that Em is not well as well received among minorities as other minorities rappers of equal or lesser talent. I had a couple songs in a mix cd when I was driving with my supervisor and a co-worker, both minorities and neither of them wanted to hear him for the same reasons as punisher__ stated in regards to his dislike of Em. I understand why Latinos/Blacks do not like Em (even though I do), but his talent should not be denied.
