Here's what white privilege sounds like: I am sitting in my University of Texas office, talking to a very bright and very conservative white student about affirmative action in college admissions, which he opposes and I support. The student says he wants a level playing field with no unearned advantages for anyone.
I ask him whether he thinks that in the United States being white has advantages. Have either of us, I ask, ever benefited from being white in a world run mostly by white people? Yes, he concedes, there is something real and tangible we could call white privilege. ....................
I don't concede that. Black or white, one gets advantage by studying and behaving and dressing a certain way.
You get no advantage by being white. "Affirmative action" is state sponsored racism.

i dont understand why its so hard for sum white people to see that the majority of the poor populations (hood, ghettos, rough areas) are occupied by nonwhites. u go to the hood u have more crimes, more drugs and more babies born out of wedlock, higher unemployment rate than any other race in america. is this because nonblacks are lacking a characteristic that white ppl are born with? ur a fool if u think so.
wheres there a whole foods in the hood? how updated r the books in the libraries in the hood? how many banks r in the hood? how many JOBS are in a hood? how many liquor stores are in a hood? how updated are the history books in the schools in the hood? white ppl that think there is no white privelege, PLEASE, do urself a favor and research these things urself. see what u come up wit.
yes RICH white ppl are in control, not POOR white ppl. that is why RICH white ppl have convinced POOR white ppl that even tho they may not have as much money as the RICH white community, they still share something in common with RICH white ppl, and that is that they are WHITE, and being POOR and WHITE is always better than being ANY kind of BLACK. that is how they kept poor whites and poor blacks (who make up more than rich whites alone) against each other to protect their own rich white asses.
think about it, if u take away most useful resources in a community or if u only provide lowest budget, lowest quality resources to a community, it makes it harder to keep up in education with the white suburban rich communities where most grammar school kids probably see a computer everyday at school, n kids in the hood got history books sayin george bush sr was the last pres in office. with no education its harder to get a decent paying job that requires good educational credentials. if everyone in a community is broke, more stressed and depressed, more ppl will be on drugs, more ppl will be sellin drugs since they cant find a job, and with more drugs and illegal money flow = more crime. crack is more affordable than coke in the hood, u get more time for possession of crack than u will ever face for coke. coincidence???

White people created the american system for themselves, which is in every american historical document pre 1800s, which is why they are placed in an advantageous sitution over blacks, hispanics and native americans
