Very controversial topic. I think there is just as much self destruction in other races as well but it just doesn't get magnified by the media. There are a lot of young brothers and sisters out there going to school, working an honest job, and being generally productive citizens. There are a lot of us that don't do what we should but we aren't all thugs, baby makers, criminals, and low lifes. Don't believe the hype we as a people are talented and have many productive citizens, but its the faction of bad ones that are shown in the media that make us look bad as a whole. A lot of this is perpetuated by the mainstream media.
