I'd be the first person to give credit when its due.

Fore example, Eminem is talented. An incredible lyricist. MMLP is classic IMO.

However is he the Unanimous, hands down, no one is fucking with him and never has, the only redeeming artist in rap, all other rappers before and after him suck GOAT? Fuck no.

But yet according to a VERY high portion of White people.....

i guess my point is that we don't have to take such a racial issue with it.

if you claim Eminem is the greatest, it's a perfectly reasonable claim. he may be, he may not be (i personally say not). but the fact is that it's not a ridiculous claim, so why take offense at it? people claim all kinds of artists are the greatest that are far less talented. now, if they're claiming some random shitty white artist is the greatest, it may be because THAT artist is white, but it can also be dismissed on the merits alone. i hate to use someone so cliche as Vanilla Ice, but if someone was to claim him as the GOAT, it might not be racism, it might just be stupidity.

short version: it's not necessarily "culturally insulting" or "vastly overrating" to call a phenomenal talent who's white a phenomenal talent. and it's insulting to ANY fan of hip-hop to vastly overrate shitty artists.
