believe...I mean,
I just can not believe that you discounted simple mathematics, my friend, in order to discount the real racist society that Dr. Jensen has experienced just like you and me.
What mathematics? You posted an article, that tried to tell me about white privileges in which doesn't count due to him being...
1. Racist already, or having the mindset somewhere stored and
2. Growing up in an all white state, in where he has NOTHING to compare ANY privileges to. ..
I mean unless of course you disagree that since Jensen was born in 1958, and left home at 17...it does then = 95% of that piece is about Life after North Dakota. Other than that, I suggest you put the Glenn Beck tactics back on the mantle, stop embarrassing yourself, and get to breaking that piece down in terms of the real society that you me and he, all live in.
I missed the part where he said he was no longer in Dakota, so unless you can point that out to me I don't know what to make of it any further.
Because I can hit you with some numbers, real numbers, which validate the concept and philosophy of everything he said...don't forget---------------The U.S. 2010 Census just came out, validating how wretch White-racism is alive and well!
Hit me with those numbers then. I'm not DENYING racism, which sadly does exist but it isn't like it WAS and personally I don't think it's racism.
Let's say you're an employer, you have four openings. Eight people come in, 2 males from each race apply. (2 whites, 2 blacks, 2 asians, 2 mexicans)
ONLY 1 of those males, from each race, presents themselves well. Well dressed, good history/record, well presented with actions/words. And the others aren't very well dressed, don't really care, don't have a good history/record (always late to work, causes problems etc)
Who do you pick from EACH race? The person who exceeded the others, correct? So that means, 1 white, 1 black, 1 asian and 1 mexican get the job. Of course the others now are upset and more than likely the black male will think it's racist in some way.
My point? If you're a well-educated person, maintain yourself well, present yourself well then you will more than likely get treated like such. The thing is many people, not just ONE RACE, ALL, act like they DON'T care. Then it becomes a thing of, "oh, well it's because of this or that". The problem lies within the people themselves, the people on the outside looking upon you cannot help but judge. Racism isn't truly racism, but more so a prejudice against a group of people who act a certain way.
You know I think Too $hort even said it,
"Never be ashamed of what you are
Proud to be black stand tall at heart
Even though some people give you no respect
Be intelligent, when you put em in check
Cause when you're ignorant, you get treated that way
And when they throw you in jail you got nothing to say
So if you don't listen it's not my fault"
Who's to BLAME? Yourself, and Too $hort spit some real shit on "The Ghetto". This is FACT, not only for the black man or woman but for whites, mexicans etc. It ain't no ones fault but YOUR OWN. Period. I can guarantee if everyone just became more WISE, with SELF RESPECT and got education the RIGHT way this world would be a MUCH greater place.
(and I'm not talking DIRECTLY about YOU 2012, just in GENERAL about PEOPLE)
