I don't really listen to Em that much... he sounds the same most of the time IMO

But he's nice... period

I didn't listen to the racist tapes and frankly I don't give a fuck about em

Dude has been co-signed by virtually every rapper relevant in the industry... who are pre-dominantly black... so

But like I stated not a fan... just skim through his music

A co-sign dosent mean shit, its just a slick way for an artist to gain entry into another artists fanbase.

Why not co-sign the biggest selling rapper alive??????

What do you have to lose co-signing Emenim when you can gaurantee that his fa99itt stan-base will repeat your co-sign a million times on the internet and increase your popularity

Eminem has never atoned for any of his sins. He's making a mockery of black culture everytime he gets on the mic and puts on a half-ass performance. Anytime he dresses up in drag and has his little outlandish moments--if a black rapper were doing the same thing it would be called out as coonish and buffoonery. However when Eminem does it, it doesn't get called that simply because he's not black, but the disrespect to the culture is the same no matter what one chooses to call it or not to call it. Eminem after the racist tapes of his had surfaced said he never used the n-word and that it's something he just wouldn't say, but he's on stage at a concert rapping lyrics and encouraging the crowd of nearly all whites to say "Nigga" along with the song.

"I am the worst thing since elvis presley, to do black music so selfishly, to make myself wealthy" This wigga is out there bragging about how he's nothing but a culture-vulture and using hip hop for his own selfish gains. He's mocking hip hop and the fans that support him. He deserves no respect, nor does he deserve the benefit of the doubt when it comes to him not being a racist. His words may say one thing but his actions speak louder and they're saying something totally different.

Props to Benzino for standing up against the machine and exposing Eminem for the racist that he is.

I always thought he was mocking critics with that line, because then he goes on to say "hey there's a concept that works/twenty million other white rappers emerge/but no matter how many fish in the sea/it'll feel so empty without me"

and LOL @ Benzino, that guy has done nothing for hip hop except run one of its biggest magazines into the ground...how are you gonna violate all journalistic integrity and inflate your wack group's ratings like that? SMH

3rd bolded - Have you ever heard a white person come out and blatantly say, "I've used the N word numerous times"??? Fuck no. Every white dude has said it. You act like it's a shock if they say, "Nah, never did" then audio comes out that they did. Do you realize that dude was like what 16 or whatever when he said that? Dude was beyond immature to even comprehend the meaning behind the word. Yeah, we know it's bad and offensive but we don't see it like that until we're older. For fucks sake you guys say, "nigga" how the fuck is that any different? You took off ER and put an A, wow big change right? Racist when a white dude says it but a black can discriminate it's own race?

Don't even try to pull that double standard shit.

Blacks using the N word amongst each other is completely different than a White person using it. Blacks use it, not only as a term of endearment, but it's a symbol, or recognition of some sorts, for people who have a similar ancestry/background/heritage.

When Blacks use it, we're acknowledging a common bond between us, that only WE share. We're acknowledging our slave background, by taking a word that was used to disrespect and DEMEAN us, by desensitizing it, and making it OURS.

That's why certain latinos are given passes when they use it, because a lot of latinos have African ancestry and, are thus, in the same position.

Bullshit. I don't agree. I know plenty of black dudes who WON'T use it because it's not any different. One of my closest friends in high school used it once and his grandmother heard and flipped. She went on to explain a whole hour of shit and it made sense like crazy.

You cannot say because ER was demeaning you can take it, put an A and say, "hey it's our word now, it's cool"..

You have no idea how STUPID that sounds...

What, GLAAD has infiltrated the message board now?

Here's the difference between hatred of blacks and hatred of homosexuals. Someone can look at me and tell that I'm black, but someone will look at you and not be able to tell that you're a homosexual. A homosexual can hide the fact that they're gay, a black person cannot hide the fact that they're black. This means that the black man will have a harder time in the face of prejudice than a homosexual ever will.
I can't figure out exactly what you're trying to say here.. Since Rupaul & Little Richard are so unobviously gay.. They should be relegated into hiding who they are? Is that fair?

Secondly, the bible issued gay peoples death warrent.. If you can show me anywhere in that piece of shit propaganda manual where it says black people are an abomination & should be killed on sight, I'll listen to your sob story about being oppressed more than anyone else... Until then.. I can't think of another minority group that's been consistantly murdered on sight for upwards of 2000 years..

Bounty Killer and Shabba Ranks don't have dreads. That aside, the homophobia in Jamaican music is a reflection of Jamaican culture. You can fight it by trying to repress all dancehall and reggae music as you homosexuals are currently doing, or you could try to respect free speech by not attacking all of the mjusic. One thing that the homosexual community doesn't seem to understand is that dancehall is full of violent lyrics - kill a soundbwoy, murdah a sound, informer fi dead etc. Buju's song was written just after a high profile case of the rape of a young boy by a foreign tourist. Jamaican culture does not differentiate between pedophiles and homosexuals, they're all lumped into the same category. The amount of racist comments that homosexuals direct at Jamaicans because of homophobic music is disgusting.
Rednecks lump a black crack dealer & a black harvard grad together.. Are you trying to say blatant generational ignorance should be dealt with with a stack of "let me make it" passes? foh

Hates hate, homie. When hate drives you to do violent acts towards the object of your dislike, you fall into the same boat as anyother person who's hurt someone for something they can't change.. Buju Banton not only captialized off his own countrymen's deeply seeded ignorance by promoting violence by singing boom bye bye, he was part of a mob who attacked 6 gay men & got off scott free. one of the men lost an eye. fuck outta here.. he's a criminal.. that's why his bitchass is locked now. he's a fuckin' fraud.

Do you remember how Michael Jackson responded to Eminem's diss? He bought that cracker's masters and owns his publishing. I made a thread about how Michael Jackson sonned Eminem, and it was closed in less than a minute by the mods on here.

Damn SP, the mods did you like that. That's bitch-made. Mike was on some other shyt with buying Em's masters. I never knew that Lil nugget of information, but i will add it to my memory banks.

To add to what VIBE said...I used to work at a gym where one of my latino friends played rap music from his ipod over the speakers while he was working out. One day, a woman came up to me and said "please have someone turn off that offensive music, I don't like hearing them saying 'nigga' and all that nonsense"...I'll let you guess her race.

I don't think you get it.

Blacks added "nigga" to our everyday language to include each other in the same group, based on the heritage that WE ALL have in common, since most of us can't trace our genealogy back that far.

You're asking why Blacks can use it, but Whites can't? Because we're not on that type of level, yet. If we allow you all to use our word, then it'll send out the BIG misconception that we're beyond past atrocities and free you all from your past sins, by pacifying them...but truth is, we are NOT.

Of course racism exists in hiphop which is why there will probably never be another relevant White rapper after Em retires. Is Em a racist? Probably not. Does Em appeal to pubescent white kids? Of course but that doesn't take away his ability on the mic. I don't care for most of Em's music but his latest album is dope. The way I see it Em is just one of MANY rappers that I don't necessarily care for myself but I do understand why other people like him.

therefore, i'll grade your post with an L

For all you dumb muthafuckas who dont know what dressing in drag is, dressing in drag is putting on a dress, high-heels, a stuffed-bra, fishnet stockings and a womans wig.

More so as in a cross dressing. Shit is confusing for you guys huh?

Glitz, glamour, over the top make up, hair and clothing. That = DRAG.

I don't deny that Eminem dresses like that but if he did out of the blue, just to do it, I could see the complaint. But for it to play a part of the song, for humor, then I find it HILARIOUS!! HA HA HA!! LMAO!! LOL!! ROTFL!!

You're all over the place.

You can't understand how visually someone can identify a black person but they can't identify a homosexual like you the same way? It's not too hard to understand, really. Homosexuals have gone through a lot of shit, but it pales in comparison to the racism that black people have experienced and continue to experience to this day. Until you can prove that homosexuals have been brutally enslaved by the millions, massacred by the millions, and oppressed by the millions you don't have anything to stand on except dubious assertions.

I never mentioned the Bible, I'm not sure why you're bringing it up now.

I also never said that you should just let homophobia pass, I just said this (none of which you dealt with):

"Bounty Killer and Shabba Ranks don't have dreads. That aside, the homophobia in Jamaican music is a reflection of Jamaican culture. You can fight it by trying to repress all dancehall and reggae music as you homosexuals are currently doing, or you could try to respect free speech by not attacking all of the mjusic. I'm not your homie.

Hate is not just hate. Hitler killing six million Jews and two red necks dragging James Byrd by their bumper and David Duke's support of a terrorist organization are incomparable with an anti-gay song, as violent as the lyrics might be, and as much as you may wish that Jamaicans would just swallow your agenda they won't.

I don't see any of you picketing Eminem or Wagner concerts, gtfoh with that racist double standard.

Buju was charged for his alleged attack on a gay man and acquitted. Sorry, but it didn't happen. Buju was also set up for the time he's serving now. It's always amusing to me how much you gays follow around Buju's every move like you're secret fans. I understand, he's very talented.

And the quote from Jeru was about racism, your point is moot.

1st Wig, Skirt, Pantyhose, Make up, Blouse, Bra....Eminem had all that on but you trying to say it wasn't drag?

Yes, I'm saying it ISN'T DRAG. Get the picture of the difference of DRAG and just cross dressing. What just irks me is your guys definition of drag.

2nd Your defense of his mockery of hip hop has been touched on by H-Rap earlier when he was talkin about how some blacks feel the need to come to the aid of "Massah". So enlighten me, what is your inferiority complex? Wait, I assumed you were black, I hope you're not then it would make complete sense.

I'm this beastly mutt of a fucking mexican dude that fucked a white woman and came out a little bit of both.

3rd We blacks can refer to ourselves in whatever manner we choose and it's not an issue. When an outsider does it, it's seen as an act of racism. Accept the double standard, society already has, so catch up with the times.

Still, I call bullshit. Whether it's like Punisher explained, "a realization of each other" Whatever lol

4th. You're an idiot to feel the need to defend something that should never even be spoken about in such a manner. However Eminem gets passes on doing such things all the time, whether that be how he disses the gays, disses dead icons, goes out of his way to diss pop stars for no reason. However when 50 disses rappers (that are on his level) he gets hated on and accused of bullying.

In what "manner"? He spoke of it in sarcasm, it's the black dudes who try to say he's getting rich off a "black culture" in which I still say, HIP HOP HAS NO RACE. Hip hop is a culture of change, life, emotion, reality.

You can repress your lust for men,

I can't repress my blackness. You can blend, I can't. We, as blacks, have been historically oppressed and killed to an extent far beyond your homosexual people.

Wow, such ignorance.

I'm a big Buju fan, and if you can find one homophobic lyric in the masterpiece that is 'Til Shiloh I will give you respect. Otherwise, shut the fuck up.

SMH at comparing a violent racist attack with an old anti-gay tune that he didn't even write, and as the guy above me said, was written about a predatory pedophile.

Idiot.

Exactly. This fassy doesn't even know the lyrical content of 'Til Shiloh - it's a highly positive album, but the batty men just have to fight it.
