so he can't help and save his city by investing and helping businesses while at the same time saying do not let anyone disrespect you and that he woulnr return until he got a public apology?

maybe its me...but I don't see what going back is doing outside of your pride and manhood can be for sale.

at this point ...lebron don't need the money. so It should not have to be about money. He can get paid anywhere

When LeBron left the actually economy of Cleveland suffered. Shit is crazy one person can actually have that much effect. If he feels like him simply being there can help bring something to help improve where he's from then it really is more than about some people saying he's being bought. He's an athlete. No matter who he plays for the bought analogy can apply anywhere.

if he is all about helping then why did he leave?

was he was thinking about himself?

he got his rings now he can help others?

and yall praise this because at least he came back?

and how the economy when lebron was in high school?

so he wants to come back to help those that shitted on him?

yep...an that makes sense

You trying too hard to find something wrong with this. He admitted he was thinking about himself when he left and leaving how he did. Now he's considering the people he didn't to come back. Of course you don't forget shit overnight but at the same time he'd be weaker to let that one incident affect every decision he makes career wise the rest of his playing days. You grow you change and you realize things you didn't about life 4 years ago. It happens all the time

ok....so he said he was selfish. this decision of him going back aint fixing nothing.

him leaving the way he did should not have people reacting the way they did.

if he got traded would they have done the same to defend him and try to get the owner to keep him?

i strongly doubt it.

you need to look at it for what it was.....

1. Lebron left. i wont say he was selfish, he took matter in his own hands.

2. the owner was hurt and lashed out at the runaway slave who devalued his investment.

3. Lebron won rings, so nothing else really matter.

4. Of course the owner will smile now and welcome him back. hes putting money in his pocket. But i am sure he aint forget and might do the same shit again.

5.Lebron is showing weakness for going back without a pubic apology first. if he was insulted publicly then he should be apologized to publicly. its only right. only then he should consider going back.

6. if it was about the kids....why only sign a 2 yr contract? oh hes waiting for the TV contract so he can get more money...yeah ok.

He not coming back to play for free so this ain't a charity move. Dude is just playing for money and it's got little to nothing to do with the city.

Cole.

You stupid.

It can still be about the community and still get paid what you're worth bruh.

I dislike dan gilbert, but can't knock lebron

Seems to be a move to cement his legacy....its unlikely he will ever have as many rings as mike but if he wins one in his home state with such a young club that'll be enough to put to catapult him into being one of the most beloved athletes of all time

And it seems as though he has a genuine love for ohio

Otherwise if it was only about money and chasing championships he could've signed with Houston

I actually was more disturbed and disappointed with chris paul after i discovered he signed with a team whose owner was notoriously a racist

So he's suppose to forget about his hometown, his fam, his friends, bringing businesses, jobs, mentoring, and other opportunities that he wants to bring to his state because he didn't ask for a public apology?

Sorry bruh but that's some bitter vindictive illogical female shit.....

I agree, that's why early I said it's bigger than holding a grudge against Gilbert

can you niggas try to imagine for one second..just for one second.

if lebron said apologize first then i will sign.

just imagine the strength the kids looking up to him would have felt.

this man has the power to do it and with the city behind him....the owner would have had to do it...

that would have made such a statement and cemented his legacy and made him immortal.

if his family and friend are really down with him like that then they should stand by him wanting the apology.

this is the reason we will never go nowhere. we forgive and move on too damn fast and dont require respect for those people when we put money in they pocket.

if he going back for the kids then go back on a high note an show the kids niggas cant push you around for any amount of money.

i think that will give them the heart to start businesses than anything

Magic has done a lot for his hometown and his home state and he never played here professionally and to my knowledge hasn't lived here since he left. So that's no reason to go back.

I like this post about helping your city..........
