I honestly haven't listened to radio in a few years....shit is just way too repetitive

listening to your own mix for 2 hours >>>>>>>>>>>>>listening to 5 singles on repeat for 2 hours

The diversity died sometime between 00-05. They just play whatever song that's hot in the clubs or songs they are told/paid to play. Ironically on Rosenberg and Cipher Sounds show on Sunday they play underground and recently they were told to play mainstream stuff. So not even the underground show is allowed to play nothing but underground music.

Nah, I can listen to the (mainstream) radio for more than 2 songs. Too repetitive, and it's just not quality music in my opinion. Too many people signed who lack talent.

it's funny how after all the brothas who made so many millions in hip hop nobody has a unified forum strictly for hip hop muisic, no black owned hip hop distrubution companies.

hip hop has been bought out by rich coroporate companies, they only want to pump certain artist whom they gain profit from. it's like a mafia monopoly or some shit.

co sign. thats why i dont give a fuck about puffy or jay z talking about how much money they got and how much power they have because they are house niggas to these jews destroying hip hop. jay z is a sucker for taking 150 million when the jews will make more money from him than they gave him. jay z is a worker bee just like any other artists. massa just gave him his own space on the plantation to fuck over other artists that the usually would. puffy supposedly made half a billion or more during his bad boy run and he doesnt even own his record label or masters to his bad boy catalog. you flash a dollar infront of these greedy niggas and they will do whatever for it. these dudes dont care about nobody but themselves and destroying hip hop

I stop listening to the radio seriously years ago, I stay with that iPod and iphone for music on the go. I just use the radio as background noise when I sleep and getting some pussy.

the thing is they play the same 3 songs at the top of the hour in the age of the ipod. Back in the day when the music was better and we couldn't just youtube a song i could understand how they could play the same 5 songs every hour but when in this day and age of youtube and i-pods its easier to listen to those 5 songs. Thats what pisses me off is that you should play a mix of songs and not have any song play more than 2-3 times a day instead of 6 times a day.

co-sign this, I haven't really listened to commercial radio since before high school. Before that though, I had started listening to the University of Windsor's radio station when I was like 12, better than any radio station in my city. Now I don't really listen to the radio at all.
