RA the Rugged Man is a rapper that was signed to Jive records back in the early 90's. He used to rap under the name Crustified Dibbs. He has some nasty lyrics but the dude flows his ass off. He got blackballed in the early 90s and didnt get to put out an album until 2001.

This is prolly his most famous verse. About his dad, a vietnam vet.

This is a song he did with Biggie back in the early 90's. Songs like this and his behavior towards the label are what got him blackballed.

He kinda goes into his history in this song

I remember him from the 90s. That song he did with Biggie was kinda wack. I read/saw a Big interview and he said the only reason he did the song was because he got paid.

He also has a song called Every Record Label Sucks Dick which was pretty wack.

He's basically a disgruntled rapper because his 15 minutes of fame is up.

Listen to this track... You cant say its wack surely???

I edited the post you quoted

As far as the track you posted, It's actually kinda dope.

But you only get one chance to make a first impression. I've had that record that he did with Biggie on 12" for years and it makes me mad that it's so wack.

I believe that record might be pretty rare. Might be worth money one day. I know it wasnt until these recent years that they were able to get a good quality of the song.

Nah he sound stupid but that's cause most ppl don't know shit about boxing

That interview was about 6 years, before Floyd actually fighting people with a name...

I remember the interview when it was first done and he sounded stupid then

Lol @ before he starting fighting ppl with a name

Bruh you don't know what your talking about and neither did he

If you ever wanna get learned, just come to the boxing thread tho

Brother I actually box and talk boxing ON A BOXING FORUMS not a hip hop website...

Floyd was ducking mad fighters before 2009, I dont think he had even fought Marquez before this interview...

His best wins were fighters like Hatton, ODLH (which was close), Castillo (again 1st fight debatable... 2nd one close), as much as I liked Gatti he wasn't world class, but a real warrior and one of my favourite fighters to watch...

So RA was very right back then, and plus he has forgot more about boxing then you will ever know...

No Floyd ain't duck shit. He called out Prince hamed Shane Mosley Tyszu and Oscar.... Back then he was avoided cuz of risk reward. Arum was too busy promoting Oscar de la hiya Floyd buys himself out a arums contract becomes the face of boxing then that her started building up fighters off floyds name cotto and margarito. How he avoid folk when hisresume is filled with world champions ? Cut it out. Anyway back to talks topic lol

He also beat Corrales and Floyd was the underdog in that fight.

You guys talking about Cunt Renaissance? That always struck me as just a little bullshit throwaway song.

This shit though...

That's a 90's underground classic

Are you fckn serious breda??? Naz was a featherweight lol...

Listen Im saying PRE 09 Floyd had avoided dangerous/live opponents, he was a businessman back then to and weighed up potential risk/reward factors...

For instance, he had a choice between Margarito and Baldmior, he chose Baldomir... Im not saying he wouldn't of beaten any of the fighters he avoided, but they were tough, tough fights...

After he beat Hatton (another fighter that went up in weight and was never live) he retired when he could of fought a prime Cotto... He also said we wouldn't fight Paul Williams because he was too big... Theres 3 fights he avoided...

Before the interview with RA in 2009 he didn't have a great resume, he had Zab, Castillo (with the dubious decision), Corley, Baldmoir, Gatti and ODLH... And that resume is a fighter who was still saying back then he is the greatest fighter in the world back and calling himself an ATG, it simply isnt, not when Mosley, Cotto, Maragrito and Paul Williams were fighting each other and Floyd wasnt apart of it!!!

Like I said, Im big Floyd fan, but I can sit back and say from a neutral position he was clever and still a businessman back then, he took fights with the lowest risk and greatest reward...

I dont wanna hear all that Bob Arum didn't care about me bullschitt, he was in his stable... You cant concentrate on one world class fighter (ODLH) because they only fight once a year, or twice if your lucky!!! Thats rubbish, Floyd could of fought whoever he wanted he simply manoeuvred himself in the safest possible way with the maximum reward, theres nothing wrong with that, its his health...

Floyd is an ATG now, theres no question, its a shame he missed out on some great fights though... SRL came out of retirement and fought Hagler when he (hagler) was shot and gets credit for it, but SRL admits it... Its about fighting fighters at the right time, so I dont know why Floyd denies waiting until fighters are on the decline (cotto & pac)...

KENDRICK IS DOPE & CAN CRAFT DOPE ALBUMS & MIXTAPES...

BUT BAR FOR BAR HE'S DEFINITELY OVERRATED AS A LYRICIST...

DUDE HAS ZERO QUOTABLES
