Look at what Gangsta Rap did on a global level, screw the negative image, let's talk about WTF it really is about. Trap Muzik IS the new "gangsta rap" let's be honest. That "Street" music is a reflection of what is really going on out here in the cold, harsh world. The people who end up making this kind of music for a living (no matter what you think of them) are speaking on what they know best and if they weren't able to supplement that income from that dangerous lifestyle then they would more than likely be in those streets at least attempting to live out their lyrics. Just look at the average black male in your neighborhood and try to say they ain't doin' nothin' illegal. And then people have the nerve to ask where the IGNORance in rap comes from? Being IGNORED. 35 kids packed into a dirty classroom with books from the 70's and a teacher with a hangover who can't wait to get away from the ATTENTION grubbing kids who are IGNORED by society and parents who either are drug addicted, work too much or simply JUST DON'T CARE. SO what are you gonna do to survive and "LIVE"??? TRAP...Because school ain't shit and the dope boi's got the nice whips and the baddest chics. Shit ges way deeper than being ignorant. These are diamonds in the rough that are trying to SHINE like the people who were spoon fed a decent life.
I never ran the streets of Detroit like my friends because my mama CARED and paid too much ATTENTION to me even though we were definitely in the hood..on the EASTSIDE (Warren and Chalmers, just google map the area) She made sure my sis and I were EDUCATED at HOME even if it wasn't poppin' in school and we HAD TO GO TO SCHOOL or she would BEAT THE SHIT out of us. You know how many kids thought we had it easy in my house? We used to think THEY were crazy because we had a curfew and they could stay out ALL night...They wished someone cared enough to call them home...It's a TRAP!!!
They take those chances because the money brings comfort which helps for the lack of LOVE. Sorry I got deep

Like I dug Biggie and some Tupac but I've heard waaaaaay more music than most people and I can honestly say I've heard cats that could rap circles around them and had some ill beats too. So I've always wondered how people label rappers great unless they've never heard more that what is presented to them? Just asking
I see, it's cool, just askingKingdomKame;2193049 said:We don't usually talk bout biggie and pac this much, they just been a resurgence in threads lately..
Most of the time we talk about new and up and coming shit, but the old heads dont like that so they usually bring up 90's stuff...
Never had a particular favorite rapper.Havelx;2193056 said:Why dont the T/S start a thread on his favorite rapper
Hmmm enlighten me my manHatter;2193067 said:if you are Judging rappers like Big and Pac based purely off of raw skill and nothing else then yea there are hundreds of rappers that rap better than them, but the reason Big and Pac are considered legendary is not based off of just rhyme ability alone.
