Because there are some really talented DJ's out there... and not just on sattelite either. I can't speak for other cities, but Chicago still has real DJ's that mix, scratch, flip, blend, etc.

which goes to show that you've never listened to NPR.

The musical interludes between segments span jazz, to classical, to hip hop, techno, you name it. My local NPR station put me on to a shitload of music just be being a regular listener to Marketplace and All Things Considered. If you go to NPR's website, they'll list the musical interludes by artist name, song, album and where you can buy the album.

actually i'll come clean, this post was a lil etherous to me because it reminded me that i was just listening to NPR in the car an hour ago. damn my short term memory is gone

but not really tho, because it was pretty damn clear i meant listen to the radio for music because we're in the reason

Cause sometimes it just feels good to listen to a radio station that you like, if you have a good radio station in your area. Catch a good mix show, or hear the new shit that everybody else is requestin, not just playin the same songs that I chose over and over and over and over, and bein in a constant search for new shit to break up the boredom. There's also this thing called other genres of music. I may not download a lot of country/rock/gospel/latino/reggae, but I'll listen to it on the radio while I'm ridin...

I live in Miami so I don't have the luxury to listen to superb Djs. In other words, the ones down here are shitty and I have to resort to listening to my ipod at all times.
