I honestly dont know, I feel people rate the artist more than the music they dont wanna say some shit is wack from they favorite artist.

Cause that album had 4 or 5 good songs IMO

I read these boards, twitter etc and people are quick to CD a flop. if a rapper or RnB singers sells 150k 1st week or 2 its somehow considered a flop??

So I ask the board, whats is a flop? im confused

You got to promote your album and push it down peoples throats and force em to buy your album.
OR you can be white like Eminem and not have to worry about promotion cause you can sell without a promotion.

Even tho numbers count its not the only thing that matters when talking a flop . If you can not tour consistently off your album you flopped . Your album is not quality it is a flop . If there is no anticipation for your next project because of the quality of the current project you flopped. If your goal is to be an artist , and if your pieced of worked is not critically acclaimed you flopped.

when numbers arent up to par as your last albums by a considerate amount, im not talkin about 100k-300k less.... BISD, Rebith numbers.

Also when a established artist like fat joe (Platnium singles), big boi (Diamond artist), plies drop an album and it failes to go over 100,000

Someone pliz explain to me this shit. MJ won 6 Ships and he played and won in a tough era. MJ has 3 All Star MVPs, 5 Regular Season MVPs, 6 Finals MVPs and he won the slam dunk contest two times i think...He beat Magic,Isaih Thomas,Barkley,Drexler,Mail Man etc....he's the epitome of a Basketball player. 85% of ballers that came to the league hav tried to pattern they game after MJ and theyre on record as sayin MJ is their biggest Influence. Jay on the other couldnt cut the mustard when talented artists like Wu-Tang, Pac, Big, Nas had the game on lock. Jay then lost a battle to Nas. Furthermore he is a well known biter. It took Pac/Big's death for Jay to blow jus like it took MJs absence from the NBA for Hakeem Olajuwon to win 2 ships....80% of emcees wanna be Jay cuz of his money but they want to spit & craft songs like Nas,Ra,Pac. Jay is one of the Greatest to touch a mic but he aint no MJ but more like Favre or Kobe. Most flawed Greats in they respective fields. The MJ of Hiphop is Pac...

Jay Z is prolly the richest rapper ever, that's why a lotta peeps put him on an imaginary pedestal.

And that's all he raps about 95% of the time.

I co-sign Pac being comparable to the Jordan of HipHop.
