same argument can be said for magazines and books, why you buy a magazine when you can find the scans online? because it's convenient, tangible and i enjoy spending money on things i enjoy. i have a really nice CD/DVD collection that i like to constantly refine and grow. i don't really fuck with MP3's like that unless it's a mixtape, i don't own a player and if i'm on a train or something i read books and magazines.

if i was dead broke then maybe i'll save $10 but i'm not and the day i worry about $10 then i got real issues.. all that bootleggin online will fuck with your computer too, i've caught a serious virus downloading some bullshit and that ain't funny. above all you're taking unnecessary risks, even including legal trouble in the abstract sense since you are breaking the law - all over $10

i think its a big convienience factor nowadays. ipod/mp3 players>>>cd players. no comparison

rolling over in bed, turning on the laptop, and getting an album for free in 45 seconds>>>>driving to best buy to spend $12.

Plus people are so used to downloading that they dont see albums as a product an artist is selling, instead they feel an artists music is just something they're entitled to have. I think all these people crying about hip hop dying and not supporting the craft should shut the fuck up.
