Questions and Statements about God...

Unfortunately, evil and suffering exist and it is tragic to see how things have been going with Haiti. But, does it means that God made a mistake in this? Is it possible that maybe in this tragedy, that God is preparing something good or even testing those who think they know God? Nowadays, God isn't being believed in, it is being sold and people are looking at religions (especially Christianity) as a product that just doesn't work.

Really? I thought God created everything. So technically, he made earthquakes too. I would call an earthquake that kills 200,000 people a HUGE mistake. Unless God is half evil, than it all makes perfect sense. I would also call cancer and other diseases a mistake. That's just me though.

No. David comitting adultery was not a mistake. Judas's betrayal of Jesus was not a mistake. They may have made the mistake, but God's Plan was not hendered any.

The problem we have is that we think of evil as something obvious, that it is synonymous to suffering and tragedy. It's not just that. I know you may find it hard to believe and I am not trying to make it sound as if people are really thinking this way, but even acts of kindness in a plague-free world can be destructive as well. It takes away our will to choose.

How would we know what good (or think is good) is if all that we see is good or what love is if love is all we experience. Hey, Lucifer could have been used by God to create a utopia after man sinned against God where nobody suffered and everyone is happy. However, sin would still remain. I believe that will be Satan's next move. I would hate to think that everything alright when it is truly not.

Praying is REALLy helping those people in Haiti right now. I mean wow, all the aftershocks affecting Haiti have magically stopped. It's only down to like, oh, 51 afteshocks now, haha! And disease has been virtually eliminated from there as well, only gangrene is fucking it up. Plus, only 200,000 people are dead! It's a miracle!!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!!

The word "blame" is a very strong and negative word. Blame, for me, is a destructive form of criticism and is often judgmental. For me, the word "responsible" (i.e. being the source or cause of something) is more appropriate to use.

I believe that when wars are started, they are not meant necessarily to kill a person in charge...it is to kill an ideology; what that person stood for. I believe God wasn't fearing for His Life but He understood what He stood for; what He represented (in this case, what God represented was who He was and is). The truth is more in danger than His Life. God gave His Life through His Son so that we may still have a chance to know the Truth.

I don't know if you have notice, but there are people that don't believe in the God of the Bible and if they do believe in some deity, it isn't this one. And to say the God is the Truth steps on a lot of toes. We are offended by it. Because of our ability to choose, we choose someone else instead of taking heed to this claim. The battles fought is so that when we make a choice, it will be for the Truth. The truth is more in danger for ourselves than it is for God.

People debate Evolution which has more proof than any origin story including the bullshit placed in the Bible. All religion has origin stories with no proof or evidence to ANY of them.
