BTW you would think once Jesus became the Messiah all the tables, chairs, bookshelves and what not that Jesus built would have become a keepsake or people would have been trying to sell this items for large sums of money. but there is neither any of Josephs nor jesus's work anywhere. wonder why?

hmmmmm...sounds like a nice business venture lol.

He was good with his hands.... No homo, and he didnt have any other on the job skills to aqquire work somewhere else.

SMH @ people sayin he was a carpenter cause god wanted him to look poor and like the average man, im pretty sure a carpenter woulda been a nice job at that time. If he wanted him to look non messiah ish why not just say fuck a job, it aint like Jesus needed the money.

not god, the writers of the bible. being a carpenter, i would think, would be seen as an honest hardworking man's job...making him one of the people. looks more noble when you are crucifying someone who could be related to.

I'm being serious...

I am too, if he is real he forces people everyday to do something. And he basically made me take the route I did in life to get to where Im at now.

How is that? You have free will, you choose if you want to go left or right. God doesn't have you as the "dummy" or "puppet". He only knows your decisions which doesn't put him in control of your life though.

If he already knows what decision your making, the decision you dont make was never really there and was an illusion. Also people swear god gives people talents for certain areas "Id like to thank god for blessing me with ...." If he blessed u with talents for something he already pre determined what you should do. He makes people worship him everyday and remain loyal to him above anything else or he puts you in hell, that control of someones life. He supposedly made only Earth for humans to live on if you believe the bible the rest of the universe is only for self pleasure and to flaunt his talents, thats limiting people to a certain area.

But he chooses who and what environment you grow up in which will determine what choices you're prone to make. You don't get to choose your parents/family, you don't get to choose your neighborhood that you're born and raised in, you don't get to choose which school to go to. By the time you're old enough to make these decisions, you're already molded into the mind state and mentality by the the environment you were 'forced' to live in. So free will is out the window at that point. And if you disagree, then we should be letting children who just learned how to talk make important decisions and let them be politicians and businusss owners, No? Right because that would be ridiculous.

I see what you're saying. But how can free will be applied to a child? You cannot apply logical free will to a child, we as parents set the blueprint. It's up to the children AFTER that to decide, "Am I going to follow what my father taught me?"

I grew up with a step father who was; physically (to my mother), mentally and emotionally abusive (to me) and very very racist towards anyone NOT white.

My parents chose everything for me otherwise, yes. I now have the free will to decide, will I be who I am due to the way I was raised? I chose not to be racist, not to be like my step father. I'm 23, soon 24, I have 3 kids, I'm married. I have 2 cars, a house. I am not what I saw, heard and was treated as.

It is all free will, it's your decision. God doesn't use us as puppets dude. I see what you're saying because free will is hard to understand though. Because he knows everything, that takes away the free will right? Maybe to Him, He knows it all. We don't. We are to learn from our life choices and experiences. If it's good, goodness will come out of it. If it is bad, bad will come out of it.

I could've killed my step-father, I sure thought of it, but I knew better of it. I could've grown up a drug addict, I was around it with my friends but I knew better of it. It's the person who is wise and can make good decisions. God didn't make me that way, I made myself that way.

As you make yourself your way, Chozen, DoU, Ether, And Step etc all are them because of them, not because of God's CHOOSING.

It's a metaphor for showing the importance of being self-sufficient. The Bible is not factual...it's a guide to life that is interpreted differently by different people.

So there is no God?

I would say that Religion is un-natural. I personally believe God is nature, nature is God. God is a term used to describe nature in it's entirety. Form molecules, to energy to gravity, to the time concept to light waves, to sound waves to.... you get the point.
