Sin is what brought forth death. If man would have obeyed God in the Garden of Eden, sin would have never entered into the world and thus mankind would have never known death.

But because mankind disobeyed God, the knowledge of good and evil was given to him and thus mankind learned what death was through our sin of disobedience to God.

Death did not originate with God. God is life. God is love. God is good. The thing is though is that God is sovereign. And because He is, God can make life and take life. Thus God decreed in the garden of Eden that if you disobey me, I will take your life. Why? Because sin can't live forever. Sin is the natural bringer of death. Death does not bring sin. Sin is what brings death.

Thats why the last enemy that God destroys is death. Death is the enemy of God because sin is the bringer of it. God specifically calls death His enemy. "The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death." 1 Corinthians 15:26

So when the righteous put on immortality, the last enemy that is destroyed is death. Because death will no longer reign because SIN will no longer be present in the world. "54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is your sting? So the only way a person can get victory over death is through the only One who conquered SIN, who is none other than Jesus Christ our Lord.

Yes. I agree. Let me elaborate one more time. Mankind was innocent when God created us. Man had no knowledge of evil. All man had a knowledge of was good before the fall. The evil that man was kept from was the deceitfulness of sin. This is what the serpent tempted our first parents with. He tempted them to eat the fruit in order to gain more knowledge apart from God. The serpent beguiled our first parents into believing that God was keeping us away from "secret knowledge" which would in turn make us "gods" if we had that "secret knowledge."

All things originate from God. Point blank. End of statement. There is only 1 creator and His name is El Elyon, amongst numerous other titles. Death was the direct result of disobedience.
