Hey I got a question..I started reading the bible a few weeks ago and I'm almost done with Genesis. But basically I fully believe there is a God but I'm having an extremely difficult time believing that God walked the Earth in the flesh as Jesus. I also have a hard time believing his mother was a virgin and that Moses parted seas. I really do believe in our creator but I still feel like I'm going to hell because I have doubts about Christianity. So basically what I'm saying is do you guys as Christians think God won't be able to accept me for having doubts and condemn me to eternal hell? Just curious because I can't see God condemning me for believing in Him but not entirely believing Jesus is God.

But to clarify, I do believe Jesus died for our sins and that he performed miracles.

bumped for a real response

Typical bible stuff. Really very debatable unless you live by fear of questioning. God has so much power that he allowed his son Jesus to defeat death but we have to face it every day. Why does this powerful bible God not just take death away as a option. Seems to me that the bible God is the one that created death and being that it was said in the bible that after he created all things he looked and saw that it was good he seems to care more for it than those that dont care for him. Eat of the tree and you shall surely die. The bible God used death as a tool to scare, punish, and overcome. Not liking the bible God has nothing to do with death in some minds. It has to do with someone claiming to have all this power but not using it for what they consider good.

That's bs sin is not a creator. That's like saying the robber created the jail. People should really stop trying to defend bible quotes with such idiotic comments

It's okay to question and even deny religion if you choose. Like some one once said- seek and you shall find. Search hard and you will find the truth.

All the religions on earth came about because people

could no longer directly experience the higher realities by

means of rituals of initiation. There was a time when all Black

people openly took part in ritual initiations, prior to 6000

years ago.

One thing I don't want to seem like doing is to discourage doubt. It's normal and in respect to the Bible, there are things in there that makes us want to ask questions. However, I feel that we must not approach the miraculousness of the Bible without questioning why would these things happen in the first place.

If these miracles are just a show of might and power, then Christianity is no different from other religions. However, I believe the miracles are pointing to something very "ordinary"...so much so that it would be "miraculous" if we do see it. Start with the person of Jesus and I hope it helps get you where you need to be.

I think that it is presumptuous to think it is Christ that people hate.

Most people I interact with don't have a problem with him. It is the assholes who purport to follow him that draw their ire.

"But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause." John 15:25

The world crucified God because He was good! And all those who also will live godly shall suffer persecution.

"If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.John 15:18

Do you know His sufferings?

Can we have a conversation about our views on religion during which we just answer questions honestly and explain our position without simply quoting scripture? When everybody can do that, that's when more people will be willing to engage in the debate. Until then...

How can you fight against God though? It's impossible to resist His will. I can't help but to declare His glory!

Let's talk my brother. I love you.

At what point did I say anything about fighting against God, though? That's what I'm trying to figure out.

LOL. "DoUwant2go2Heaven?" stays quoting people and claiming they said something that's not even in the quote.
How can you say you've never seen an attractive midget? Midgets are everywhere, just look around. "God" created them all. Praise Jesus!

17 “Speak to Aaron, saying, ‘No man of your [a]offspring throughout their generations who has a defect shall approach to offer the food of his God. 18 For no one who has a defect shall approach: a blind man, or a lame man, or he who has a [b]disfigured face, or any deformed limb, 19 or a man who has a broken foot or broken hand, 20 or a hunchback or a dwarf, or one who has a [c]defect in his eye or eczema or scabs or crushed testicles. 21 No man among the [d]descendants of Aaron the priest who has a defect is to come near to offer the LORD’S offerings by fire; since he has a defect, he shall not come near to offer the food of his God. 22 He may eat the food of his God, both of the most holy and of the holy, 23 only he shall not go in to the veil or come near the altar because he has a defect, so that he will not profane My sanctuaries. For I am the LORD who sanctifies them.’” - Leviticus 21

...when u get into something new.. U will have doubts.. Thats why you study the bible and pray for understanding...

If i dont understand something, i will ask dou or search online... Or call my brother and ask him...

I dont think god will send you 2 hell if you have a true heart and desire to know the truth about him and his word...

Does that answer ur question?

Depends on who you ask. You ask DoUWantToGoToHeaven and he's gonna tell you yes, you're going to hell. But If you ask me, no. But what we think isn't important. Finish doing your research and find out what YOU think. Then go with that.

Either way, good job actually trying to read the Bible cover to cover before you start running ya fucking mouth about it. Salute.
