aight I shall...I'm going to be looking for that book in the mark twain thread too

That book set me straight as a science student it lays the facts for you think about it there are soo much coincidences how come many finely tuned cosmological parameters combine to produce a life supporting universe that is so intelligent design not coincidence i'ld tell you

I read a short summary and saw the chapter titles sounds like a very interesting read...seems to make some good comparisons without seeming opinionated

yes it presents the facts and you are left to make your decision yourself....ever notice how there is an underlying beauty, harmony and symmetry in nature eg the golden ration, fibbonacci sequence occuring in nature (eg rabbits breeding or so), like fuck someone designed this universe and we will answer to him

the appearance of order arises from chaos all the time in the eyes of pattern-seeking primates like us

math is our invention, it is our attempt to make sense of the world, it is not necessarily a reality at all

theres no way u could tell if there is or isnt a Godl

you can prove that SPECIFIC gods dont exist, for example, we know that a god that created the world in 6 days doesn't exist, and we know that a god that flooded the entire planet doesn't exist, etc. etc.

but if you make the meaning of the word "god" more and more vague, yeah, sure, I guess whatever-the-hell-you're-talking-about COULD exist. Doesn't mean there's any reason to think it does.

I don't understand your punctuation-less Canadian dialect.

LMAO @ this one

MICKEY'S ARGUMENT FROM HOLY GHOST
(1) I felt the holy ghost descend on me, and it made me shake.
(2) Atheist explains that it was probably just catharsis.
(3) NO! I felt it! It was real!
(4) Therefore, God exists.

Lool but thats how silly and pointless this arguments are both parties go home with their beliefs intact and kind of reinforced cos they both feel they won
